Jamo, Neumi, Fluance and others make quality speakers in powered versions. Do their included class D amps compromise sound quality in some way? As examples, I like classical music and I want to hear the difference between the English horn and the oboe. I like clarity and accurate reproduction of voices and guitar in my folk music. Or should I just keep my Onkyo vintage receiver to power my choice of quality speaker?

MY AMAZON REVIEW: amazing little speakers. very crisp, balanced sound. i am an old audiophile with a 200 watt per channel carver stereo with 40yo pioneer hpm 60 speakers in the same room(same setup in my bedroom). so i know great sound. i listen to these via bluetooth when i am using the computer and don't want to fire up the big stereo. very convenient. these speakers are worth every penny. no need to spend more for a major brand name. i took a chance on these and i am very pleased. they are little. don't expect to rock the block. but they are very loud for their size. and you can hear everything from a bass drum up to a triangle. so crisp. these are not cheaply made. they come with all the wires you need for connectivity. the wires are also of very good quality. i have been using them for 2 years now and never had any problems with connectivity or anything else. and they look and feel great too. you can feel the quality. i have them laying on their sides and leave the grills off. the soundstage is excellent in this orientation. and yes, that's a speaker(soundbar), on a speaker, on a speaker lol i leave the grills on the pioneers, i took that one off to show you the drivers these compete with. buy these little speakers. and thank you moukey, for a great product.

Happy to hear they’re not total crap. I bought this yesterday during a lightning deal and they came today, but I’ve never heard of the brand before so I’m a bit cautious. At the same time, I’m tired of using this single speaker for my turntable that’s more meant for a guitar amp or public speaking and I missed out on an Edifer sale. If I don’t return them, they’ll do double duty as desktop/turntable speakers. The Bluetooth is noticeably louder than the RCA connection, though.

Hey cheapaudioman, I really enjoy your reviews of these "cheap" audiophile-ish stuff and subscribed to your channel! I just had an Amazon deal where I could get a pair of these for just about 71$USD. Do you believe these speakers could be decent for my needs? I know you mention they would be decent in a small room, but my garage is about 16' x 28' with 10' high walls and I want to be able to enjoy music clearly while still being able to have a conversation. It would mostly be metal or heavy rock music, through bluetooth at first. I may upgrade to wired to a computer when I get a chance as I own a desktop CNC and a desktop laser engraving machine, which both requires a computer to run. Also, do you have any treble/bass presets I should be aiming for for this kind of music? I will obviously finetune them to my likings, but it would give me a good ballpark, as I don't know how this speaker set sounds right out of the box. Lastly, do you have any suggestions to help improve vocal clarity and cleanliness of the sound? Preferably under the 100$ USD pricepoint... as I don't want a true audiophile setup for my garage, but I want something that will last a long while and will help me enjoy my music at its best with minimal equipment. As a sidenote, I would keep using my Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds, as I adjusted its EQ to be almost entirely perfect for my ears (I suffer from tinnitus). The issue is that they become dusty and greasy from the woodworking and mechanical repairs I do, so this is why I want to go with a speaker setup in my garage without having to spend a thousand bucks on a setup. Suffering from tinnitus makes it almost meaningless to be buying extremely expensive and good audiophile stuff, but I want to be able to enjoy the music and customize it properly. With all that being said, I assume I would AT LEAST need an EQ, maybe a DAC... but I don't know which ones would be good with this pair of speakers and I don't know what to look for in them thus why I am asking you, you seem to know a lot about it and have tested a lot of them.
