A really nice Green Fairy sequence from a film "Moulin Rouge". Just after they decided to make a spectacular spectacular and "Hills alive with the sound of music" sequence. Green celebration time! Viva la Bohemian Revolution!

I remember when this movie came out and I RUSHED to go get the soundtrack at the cd store and I was so disappointed Zidlers Rap or this sequence wasn’t on it. They even released a second soundtrack (Moulin Rouge 2) a year or so later and that one still didn’t have it!!!

Out of all the movies I've seen with Absinthe hallucination scenes (even though that actually doesn't happen, and they even watered it down), this one is the most entertaining. I should really watch the entire movie.... damn me and my procrastination!

I hope 20th Century Disney releases an Atmos home Blu Ray of "Moulin Rouge". I saw & heard this movie in a 5.1 DTS auditorium when it came out. The projectionist knew what they were doing and blasted the film. The surround sound separation & subwoofer bass was fantastic! I'm sure there's a digital copy lying around that they can play with. Disney bought Fox for the rights to all six of the original "Star Wars". Now they have them. May The Maker help us.

I decided to try a shot of absinthe in a pub for the first time in 2003. The shock of it costing £3.50 (for then especially was very expensive) had a greater impact on me than the alchol itself. I made myself feel a little better by keeping the glass it came in.

blackjac5000 unfortunately in the US, the restriction is that it must be made without thujone (an organic chemical found in wormwood). I thought it tasted like Sambucca with a harsh burn. Drinking it with sugar water definitely makes it taste better though
