Seems like a lot of kit for a few days. Is it possible to cut down on a lot of the kit, or is everything necessary?

One way to cut down on a lot of the kit is to do the hike outside of winter conditions (as always) and even do a shorter hike (1-2 days instead of 3-4 days).

Can you pay in € for snucks you buy in Imlil or need local currency?

You will need dirhams, but you can change these in Marrakech really easily.

The "berbers" prefer the name : Amszigh, it means free people. Its their original name and you score alot of points if you them so :)
