This is more proof that all it takes is a few good people to go out and put in work to get amazing trails. Austin TX is another place no one would expect there to be any trails, but it's one of the healthiest MTB/BMX/DJ communities out there. Great video, Seth!
@TrailFeatures6 жыл бұрын
Oh, and TX is getting its first lift access park soon. Spider mountain, which only an hour outside of Austin. All the trails are built by the local riding groups. If there can be a lift access park in TX then anything is possible. ;)
@grantd.3356 жыл бұрын
I'm so stoked for that! I usually just do the BMX and Tangle loops at Walnut for "elevation" but a lift access park in Central Texas will be amazing!
@kayaksnbass95946 жыл бұрын
I go to the trails around Austin and live near bluff creek ranch in Warda, they have a huge wooden wall ride and tons of single track, also the freeride park at the trail in Smithville is great
@NoBrakes236 жыл бұрын
I've never been clear on whether Etnies and Odyssey/Full Factory went there because the scene is awesome or if the scene is awesome because they are there. Austin does have BMX Freestyle roots going back to the 80s with the Trend/Empire thing.

Glad to see one you guys finally got to Minnesota! Yes Duluth has some of the most unique terrain and rock around... And the most technical terrain I've ridden in the state; and I've been all over!! Cuyuna Range has some rocky fun as well but not as much as say Piedmont, yet it is unique to its own. There is a lot of potential here and in the north for more awesome stuff including more of the Iron Ranges here and, like you said, the Upper "P". LOVED the video man... Thanks again from us Minnesotans!!

Hey Seth - been following you for a few years now. One thing I really appreciate about your videos is your story telling skills. It's like an essay, you're able to have a brief intro, build up to the content and ending that ties in your initial thoughts. This video speaks volume because you gave Duluth a great shout out even though you were skeptical at first.

2:14 Man, where to begin. Years ago when I was living in Minneapolis, Seth’s Bike Hacks was a major contributor in my transition from road to dirt, and in the seasons that followed, I spent many summer weekends traveling up to Duluth to rip. Videos like this one were part of my inspiration to finally move to Duluth in the spring of 2022. It’s been an amazing 15 months so far, and it’s worth mentioning that Seth’s casual comment of how the city “probably” can be ridden entirely in a couple of days is so far from the truth. Once a week I find a loop on a trail system that I’ve never been on before, and if I were to ride every section of each main trail hub along the 50 mile Duluth traverse, it would be over a week of sun up to sun down riding. We’re an IMBA gold riding center, 1 of 7, and if that’s not enough, we’re within 2 hours from Cuyuna, Tioga, Redhead, Giant’s Ridge, and the Jackpot system in Tofte/Lutsen. The riding in Minnesota is growing at a rate that should turn heads, and Seth is overdue for a return visit with multiple days to also check out the red dirt of the Iron Range. I uprooted my life to come here, and within a week, I was convinced I’ll do whatever it takes to stay long term. Exhibit A: I’m back in college again so I can find a career in local healthcare. A major thank you is due Seth. This video gave me the push to finally follow my heart up north, but I can’t wait to see your follow up video where you realize just how much more there is here. 🤙🏼

So cool to see you at Spirit Mountain, and great job on this vid! Your lost phone story reminds me of when I lost a contact lens at the end of a DH run there last year. Most of the bike patrol and a bunch of riders stopped and combed through the grass looking for it until I finally told them to give up and keep riding. Great riding vibe on the hill and all over Duluth.
