After beautiful wife passing, it’s good to hear her talking and laughing, although mot much. The memories they shared in front of the camera about their wedding is the best. The best part of camping with friends and family is not only the new memories you are making but sitting around (especially a camp fire) talking and laughing about the old ones.

Last week I went down a fairly gnarly two track to a lake in the Superior National Forest in Minnesota, to find a new Lexus RX350 at the end of the trail. I mean this trail was almost 2 miles of slapping tree branches with rocks everywhere on the track and a few water holes. I was amazed. Low profile street tires and everything. You would be surprised what an average vehicle with a determined driver will do ;)

Great video! I loved the story of your wedding. My wife and I went non-traditional with our wedding. Some of the extended family scoffed at it, but who cares it's what we wanted. Happy Anniversary to you and Beautiful Wife! May you have many more years of hunkering down together!

Congrats on three years! Camping is a great anniversary activity. Also: the name of that cool cooking device is a "tripod grill". They are absolute gold for cooking outdoors, and not only for grilling but to hold pots over a flame.

Every time I watch one of your videos, I am amazed at how many trees Alberta has. I thought it was all tundra that far north.

Every time I check in on Steve's channel or Foresty Forest's channel, I hold out hope they've come up with the most epic Canadian crossover since... well, I'm not sure because I'm not Canadian. But you get my point.

The only person missing might be Fred Penner walking through the campsite ,playing his guitar, and singing a beautiful song about trees.

@@campingwithsteve DEFINITELY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU BOTH! I was going to do a gig w/ camping involved out in Ashby MA. which's near NH but decided that because of the various Covid crap involved with the gig, it wasn't worth it. It would've been a 2 day long semi heavy metal show w/ a pig roast attached. @ 1st it was a just bring your mask which graduated to wearing your mask all throughout the show to people with radar style thermometers taking temps & DNA swabs. I was like this is too insane so, dropped out.

Always a highlight of my week. Had you in mind when I bike toured to my parents from NYC, legit stealth camped in a preserve, had you in mind as I treated myself to a step 2! First time camping in over 7 months due to this whole pandemic thing. Need to do it again. Like I've said before, thanks for being out there when I can't be!

HA! That little logging road comment reminded me of how I like to take my Honda Fit camping/hiking in places it really shouldn't be. 4.5 in. of ground clearance is enough (if you're careful).

I enjoyed that. I like how laid back and funny you are. Had to laugh when I saw the roll up windows and of course the A/C had to poop out...but you don’t freak out! You picked a beautiful spot... made up for the crunchy tent! I was considering buying EnChroma glasses for my son. He’s in the military and that didn’t hold him back from joining. I’d love to see his reaction to at least seeing more colour than he does now. You’ll have to keep us posted on your experience with them...take care and looking forward to your next camping adventure 🇨🇦
