Here is a full flight from Rifle Airport to Aspen Colorado in a Bombardier Global Express. We had a little bit of turbulence, but fortunately we were completely empty. Aside from a few clouds, it was a beautiful day for flying, so I hope you enjoy!

Nice to see some snow on the Rocks! Alignment with FO was offset. He seemed distracted by life, business was maybe secondary . Loved the departure footage despite audio. Great power footage. Let’s see if I forgot, is not a great strategy.

Hard to tell if SIC is bored, out of practice, or accustomed to flying single pilot. In any case, he came across more like a passenger and didn't do much to assist with cockpit resource management and flows. He also needs to brush up on his radio comms a bit.

Not a fan of this FO. He missed several ATC readbacks, generally seemed disoriented in the cockpit, and you really had to stay on top of him to do basic tasks. Kinda felt like you were flying this one single-pilot.

He also needs to slow down on some of his readbacks.I respect having the accent and English is a tough second language to learn, but the accent made it unintelligible a few times, and ATC asking him to repeat the 080 heading assignment backs that up.

In the Global I haven't heard much confirmation of cabin pressure ascending or descending settings. Probably me because I'm used to so many in the G-4. Love all the videos!

Another great video, must be a big change for you with move from Florida, by the look of the background behind you, it looks nice. Your co pilot is like as if hes out of sync, not like the other guy you had on last week video where both of you flowed. Not saying he's a bad pilot, just different and seems to do his job, that's the main thing.

Sean, During the shutdown, I noticed you turned the anti-ice switches on. Is that a normal shutdown procedure? Just curious why you did that? Great Video!

That is part of the procedure from Bombardier. I've been told it is to reduce nascence ICAS messages after shutdown.

Whose decision is it to call field in sight on a visual approach? Any idea why approach asked if you were below the bases? Was it a nudge (that the FO responded to) or information for his other inbound flights?

Who calls the field in sight will depend on the approach and whether HUD/EVS is being used, but ultimately, the pilot flying has to have it before going below minimums. Approach did ask for information so they could relay it to the next planes coming in.

Your videos had disappeared from my feed for like 2 years. I am subscribed and have clicked on the bell. The KZbin algorithm must have had a glitch. Quick story about the Aspen airport. A young lady I went to school with and I had known for the first 20 years of my life married a wealthy guy who was the co-owner of the Merry Go Round clothing stores in the 1980's. I believe his name was Harold Goldsmith They had like 600 stores before the chain went bankrupt. Her husband, the co-owner of the company, was a passenger in the company's Learjet coming into Aspen when it crashed short of the runway. All on board were killed. This was sometime in the late 80's or early 90's. A tragedy all the way around. Is the approach tricky? Were they coming in the opposite direction from over the mountains? I have heard this is a dangerous airport.
