I watched Bill on TV until they took it off the air, but I still kept drawing. Later in life I became a public school art teacher until I retired. Teaching and painting have brought me the greatest joy of my life, so thank you Mr. Alexander for the gift of your inspiration to me and to thousands more.

My first ever wet on wet painting in 2000 was a Bill Alexander from a book by Foster publishing. It came out so well considering I had only been painting for a month or so. I had not seen him on TV and I am grateful to see this wonderful and clear video of him. He was truly an artist. I haven’t painted in 17 years and started again recently. I had been doing painting from Bob Ross videos to get my ability back. I like Bill's style better for the way he can paint loose and still get so much detail. I am going to learn more of Bill’s technique. Please post more of this amazing man's videos. He is inspiring, and quite the character as well. A new generation needs to be exposed to his talent and technique.
