At 71 years old I think a lot like you. I'm tired of this massive overreaching govt that really got rolling in the 1860s. My family fought in the Revolutionary War and everyone up until Vietnam. My brother was a lifer Marine now a retired Gunny. My dad retired from the Army Reserve as Sgt Major. My medical issues caused me to flunk the military physical requirements. I could run and handle myself in the woods but had disqualifying spinal issues. I carry the Winchester 94 I grew up with. My dad passed it on to me. My brother used it as well. I'll pass it on to my son. It's a way of ensuring he realizes having a gun is his right so he has the Winchester to the third generation. I can't fight in the streets but am prepared to protect my family to the best of my ability. I was taught that males are the protectors of family, community, and country...Anyone who needs protection is what I was taught. My career was as a mental health professional. I went to college because I couldn't go to Vietnam. I soon woke up to the falsehoods around that war and have seen many since then. As a therapist, I took on the task of working with combat vets with PTSD. I was raised in Arkansas and returned here after grad school in 1977. Thanks for your words. I'd love to train with you but cannot physically handle even the travel much less the actual training. I'll do my best with what my dad taught me in the wilds of the Ouachita Mtns where bear and cougar were common then.

We are in a time and place where a large part of society find personal freedom and independence frightening. While I find dependence and government protection frightening. We must educate others on what we have lost

It breaks my heart to say this, but I think we've passed the point of general education being effective. Sure, maybe 5% effective. However, it's a dismal hole to pour your energy into if you expect ANY reasonable return on investment. I believe the lines are drawn. The mental camps are already distilled. We have the awake, the willfully oblivious and the Woke. Until real pain awakens the oblivious, we are stuck with the 5% return (arbitrary %.) I choose to focus on what is good return and preparing to catch/handle/help the newly late awakened at a later date.

@@ManInTheWoods76 Yea, I think we have passed the point where we can talk our way out. The education system is completely corrupt and overrun by ideologues hell bent on the destruction of America. That system has taken almost 5 decades for the left to build and we just dont have the time to undo it. This country is likely gone in a decade if we are lucky if we cant get back on course. With just what the biden admin has done in 3 years has pushed us well off the cliff and Im not sure we can stop the coming crash, which is unavoidable, its just a matter of how bad it will be. IMO, if we dont purge congress in 2024 and fill it with patriots that have the will and the balls to correct our course with a president to follow, its over, and the crash is imminent. But we must elect patriots who know whats going on and will boldly attack the problem. Unfortunately, were not going to make that big of a chance in congress, if any, and none of the presidential candidates are any better. And, like you said, most people are oblivious or woke.

Great talk Reid, im 62 and was raised with guns and americsn history! My first gun was a shotgun, Ted Williams model 20 ga from Sears, it cost $39. Got it when i was 12! Hunted with it by myself when i was 13! Dad was a ww2 vet and taught he how to handle a weapon! He always said to never cross over a fence without laying gun down on the ground, crossing over and then picking gun back up! We used to ride dirt roads where he taught me to drive at 8 years old and he would get me a local history lesson witch i still research today! Im not sure exactly when it started but my disdain for the overbearing fed government has grown over the last 20 years! Been going down the rabbit hole for about 18 years now and have been called a conspiracy theorist many times, i just grin and say, we will see! The sheeple of this country are gonna have to suffer tyranny for awhile to awaken them from their slumber and i guess we have to go along for that ride too! If people dont suffer the tyranny they have allowed to creep back into their country then theres no reminder for future generations to not let it happen again! I look at europe and all the devistation those countrys have suffered in ww1 and ww2 and i wonder how are you letting this tyranny creep back in, dont you remember the millions killed 80 years ago! Those perpetuating this tyranny are the same entitys of 80 years ago! They are the ones behind the curtain pulling the levers of power and corruption!

Reid, thanks for your inspiring video. Please also do some videos on our Minuteman tradition. I believe knowing even a little about this wonderful tradition and wanting to be a Minuteman is half the battle - against 'ALL enemies foreign and domestic'. I also believe that a Minuteman can be helpful at the local level during natural or man-made disasters: violent flashmobs, looters, gangs, etc. Even if only as security, prevention and support('eyes and ears') Hopefully we won't need to overthrow Washington government but we should always honor our Minuteman tradition and be prepared. Like JFK said," Today we are in need of a nation of Minutemen . . . " Get into good shape familiarizing yourself with your nearest mountain range. Be careful the further you go off the popular paths. We each should look around, as I did, do the math and confirm that about 3% of the population is genetically predisposed to be human sheepdogs. That's about 10 million here in the USA. Our military is less than 3 million, many of whom are stationed overseas. Much of what remains is trained for rear echelon work: transportation and maintenance of fuel, supplies, food, equipment, complex weaponry, etc. In other words, the motivated fighting soldier on our soil is far less than 10 million motivated patriots who are all 'stationed' were they need to be.

Mr. Henrichs, just want to say that you are appreciated by myself and probably millions of freedom loving folks around the world for your knowledge and insights on history and what it takes to preserve freedom. God bless you, sir, I hope to meet you someday.

Might tell off on my age but I still remember in the Sears catalog the pre 64 , 94 Winchester 30-30 was $ 99.95 brand new. And could get the old surplus WW 2 Guns for $45.00. my my, how those were good ol days for sure. My youth hunting license was 00.25 cents. And I could walk into Western Auto at 14 years of age and buy all the ammo I wanted no questions asked and was told good luck hunting and hope you get that big one. And all of us had guns in our pick up window gun racks with unlocked doors at School Well things have changed since 1960's and early 70's. Of course it was a smaller town and everyone knew one another but I catch myself longing for those simpler times a lot these days.

I envy you in that you can easily go out into the woods especially with a rifle. I inherited a .32 Win 94 about 7 years ago, and it was right after I bought my first hand gun. I grew up in a semi rural town that’s mostly now an overgrown small city since the late 70s. As I get older, the more I yearn to live in a place like that where I could be among nature and wild animals in less than a 10-minute walk. I could fly my kite on a hill, affix the rope to the ground, go back home to eat lunch, and return to the same place where my kite was still flying. I had the entire place to myself and never felt more free in my life. It’s hard to believe but this was in an L.A. suburb in the mid 70s. A rancher who was one of the heirs of that land would drive around on the streets with a rifle hanging across his pickup 🛻 truck’s rear window. People used to fire their guns and hunt all over that area and other then rural surrounding areas in the 50s, 60s and early 70s. I was born too late before L.A. became a leftist 💩 hole.

You sir as usual, telling the truth., we as a so called free country need to pay close attention to our own government. I know you have to be careful of what you say on here. thank you for a well thought video.

The first rifle I ever fired was a Marlin 336. I was five years old. Rested on a log. Knocked me on my sit-me-down. Had a healthy respect for the 30-30 afterwards. I have at least 12 ancestors that the SAR counts as patriots. Just as in this vast universe the only place where life was miraculously created to thrive was the third planet from our sun called Earth, only in North American were the Judeo-Christian ethics and Magna Carta doctrine and political philosophies of the Renaissance able to merge and become the most successful nation on the planet. That it hasn’t happened any other place is a testament to its grand, inspired design. Marx, Gramsci, and Mao have no place here.
