That's the feeling that contractors should strive to make their clients feel. Ecstatic about the result, the hard work, the efficiency and feeling that the cost was reasonable and justified. Congrats on the road man. So cool that you can share that part of your property so much more now that you can safely get up there without issues. Can't wait to see what's next.

It’s a rare thing now days to get that kind of work ethic. It deserves to be noticed. I can’t wait for the weather to break so we can get back to getting some things done around here. We are snowed under at the moment! Thanks for watching!

A vibrating padfoot compactor roller was needed earlier when he was pushing in the fill. This is done in lifts because all of those tracked machines do not compact like you think. The tracks are for staying ‘afloat’ when working material.

That new road looks awesome Lucas. I agree with you. Sometimes it is just better to stay out of the way a let the big dog eat. A lot of times I want to help because I know I can, but I also realize when I would be a lost cog in the wheel depending on the situation. That road is something to be really proud of. Thanks for the video my friend.

Looks awesome dude, it’s been a pleasure watching your channel grow to what it is today. Little bit of advice for the driveway. We have a 400 foot long driveway at our cabin in the mountains, with a very similar driveway if not basically the same just not as wide. We had issues with the water rushing down our ditch to the point where it cut deep ruts in. Something we did to stop that was putting rip rap in. Basically rock the size of softballs or a little larger in the ditch. This slowed down the water to the point where rutting was not longer an issue. Other then that I wouldn’t change a thing, looks great 😊
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead21 сағат бұрын
I have been thinking that will need to happen, but we have a LOT of rock so I am going watch it through spring and decide what needs to happen after I see some water flowing. I’d say we will end up doing the same…

That road sure is turning out well! Sounds like an excellent company to work with. That skid steer did a great job packing it in. They leave it so smooth it's hard to compare to a tractor doing it. Your tractor does have more PSI under the tires than that skid steer though, so you can definitely pack it as hard, but it sure won't be as smooth. I bet you're tickled to death. I know I would be. Thanks!

I would plant some shrubs along the hill behind your house, just to catch some of the dirt if it starts to move. Lucas: you mention the ground moving. Out by my place, Hwy 17 at the Petawawa River is on muskeg. When they were building it the whole area would ripple as the heavy trucks drove over it. Every spring the road heaves. That is a very nice road you finally got. No wheelies or donuts. I can just see you if that would happen now. Take care and stay safe.
