Those Lakeland vistas are amazing in the way they make such a small country, take on the appearance of continental vastness. As for Blue, looking for that darling pup is the first thing I do when I watch your videos. He's a pup n a half bless his heart. The best buddy a guy could have. Look after him boy, and make sure you bring him safely home from the hill every time.

I understand that you love the mountains in Lake district. I was yesterday thinking about that very many people do hike and discover the nature around them. Some just do day hikes and some stay overnight for shorter or for a longer adventure. I lived in Germany close to Lake Konstanz for 8 years. It was nice and we had 1 hour drive for skiing in places like St. Anton and walking those mountains in the summer. My wife comes from Austria which means we often have been skiing in many places in Austria and also been hiking. In the alps you can often take the cabin lift to quite high up and then walk down to the valley. The peaks are very often much higher and are more for the specialists. What always struck me in the alps are how much people there are. That also goes for the forests where there is a german almost behind every tree. In Sweden and Norway it is very different. We always have the wilderness close to our cities. The further north you go the greater areas of solitude, mountains and deep forests. Here you are unlikely to meet anyone. Many natural reserves there with old forests that never been cut. I thought I would post a video from one man that does excellent videos and and several adventure trips every year. In most countries yo can find the wilderness and have sorter or longer adventure. Sometimes with a friend and often alone. I choose his latest adventure that have subtitles in English. I think you like that short video. Very different to Lake district but still totally stunning. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpu6lIendqigaLs

Thank you👍. It definitely can be busy in many places so winter camping and adventures is more pleasant for me when you can go out for hours and not see a soul. I’ve toured through Europe a few times and have enjoyed many places but I’d love to go to Norway😬😬😬
@matsalm29432 жыл бұрын
@@BUSHMANandBLUE You can easily combine a trip for Sweden and Norway. The Swedish side have more huge forest and often mountains that are not so steep and more rounded. Our mountains have experienced several ice ages so we are at the roots of our mountains.They formed around 600-700 miljon years ago. On the Swedish side you find natural reserves with untouched forests .and real wilderness and you can walk for days. Finland is said to be the country of a thousand lakes. Sweden have 100 000 lakes. You can pass over to Norway within a days walk. The Norwegian side have areas with mountains that more look like what you have in Lake district. If you stay a couple of weeks you can also paddle the lakes from Norway to Sweden or the opposite. Ally canoes are great because the are very light and you can drag them many times instead of carrying them. Think Blue will love the remote areas and the many animals that you will see. If you watch a few of this guys youtube videos you will get a good feeling for the nature in and how it change from the areas shortly north of Stockholm to the mountains much further north.

@@BUSHMANandBLUE Yes you might take a first bite and not try to chew up the whole elephant in on go. sweden is roughly the same size as Germany. However we only have 10% of that population. Most people live in the southern part where you also find Stockholm., Gothenburg and Malmö. Sweden is a very long country. If you tipped Sweden over at the south tip it would reach down to Rome. Sweden is not cheap but Norway is much worse.. If you like to plan for a long trip to Sweden I think you should go by car. I seen that the KZbinrs Kent Survival and Simon a bloke in the woods paddeled Canoes in Norway and Sweden this summer.. They can presumably give you lot of information. As a native I presumably is bit homeblind. .FRom where I live in Gothenburg it is almost 1900 km to Nordkapp. That is the fastest an shortest roat. So if you plan domething look st

Am having a very cheeky Tuesday, caught the latest from MCM and then this one after! Love a Saison (it's a style of beer by the way) and if you're looking for something even further out there try a 'Kveik' style which is a Norwegian farmhouse beer - be warned it has a very peculiar 'nose' to it :) which is not to everyone's taste. If you're ever out South Lakes way see if you can get some Fell brewery, they do some cracking ales and have a couple of pubs locally. I bought the Lanshan 2 Pro and looking forward to using it - am hoping it can take a bit of weather as we are in Autumn now and it's not going to get less windy now

Great video, remember walking this route a few years back, what a stunning place for a wild camp. Also remember the Halifax bomber wreckage and memorial on Great Carrs. Turmat meals and expedition meals in the 800 cal size also have the lower cut off on the pack, which definitely makes them easier to eat! Would recommend getting an insulating pouch to put a pack meal in while you're waiting for it to cook and rehydrate...it definitely keeps the heat in better, especially in winter!

Great vid as always AL. I just want to share something withnyou about the trekker chair, you can actually using it without putting your mat inside and i have been using mine with just a cheap Forclaz sit pad from Decathlon which i always take with me to use to sit and kneel on . Also i heard how you liked that Lan shan but trust me on this you need to get a Duomid or a Hexpeak pyramid tent because they are absolutely rock solid ion the wind and especially the hex peak it doesn't flap at all even in very strong winds......i own 3 Hillebergs and both the Durstans now plus i have had all sorts of different tents over the past 4 decades but these Pyramid tents are the absolute best and really light too. I am going to be selling off my Hillebergs very soon because they just weigh too much for me these days and i can get a lot more space with a lot less weight thanks to the Pyramids...The Egyptians knew what they were doing back in the day for sure :)

Al, I own a Lanshan 2 pro but hardly use it since I got the Abisko Lite 1 which I bought after watching your videos. You’ve stopped using yours since I got one 😂

Great video mate! Can't stop watching you! What waterproof trousers did you use again? I have some revolution race wp trousers (cyclone set) that say waterproof but you reckon it's best to have a wp layer ontop? Cheers dude 🤙

Thanks mate 😂. I’m not sure in this vid what trousers. I can’t remember.

Hi Alan nice video. I have a question what does living the dream details. Lots of peoples use that phase but when I asked them to clarify they have no clue of the meaning.
@BUSHMANandBLUE2 жыл бұрын
Everybody interprets it differently I guess. Mine is to be away from society (not so much people as I love chatting) and living in a very simple way without all the societal pressure of bills and time constraints. It’s freedom for me being up in the mountains choosing which direction to travel. 😬😬😬

@@BUSHMANandBLUE Make sense cause as you stated most peoples have different meaning of the phrase. Then again some peoples really don’t have a clue of the meaning. But you address the question with a very intelligent answer.

Great video Al. Getting the good views lately. Can I ask what model your new Fenix head torch is? The link doesn’t match the head torch in the video. From Fenix website it looks like HP16R. Is that correct?
@BUSHMANandBLUE2 жыл бұрын
It’s the HP25R 2. It’s heavier but I’m enjoying using it. I think it will be bright enough for mountain biking with too. I’ll test it properly and show it in a video 👍

I have to agree with Bruce N below! Had a seance for my best friend, who passed away. His wife was there as well. He told us he ate a little, drank a little, had a little sex, then a nap. Said he was reincarnated and ended up as a stud bull in West Texas.
