The older I get, the less tolerant of people I become….. we go out to get away from the town and the drivers, car parks, cafés, etc…. Just being out today with ONLY the sound of the wind in the trees and the heat of the sun our backs….. makes everything worthwhile. Best of all, we picked up our first tent yesterday….. we cannot WAIT start using it. You know how much we love your videos, you’re an inspiration to many people. Peace, love and harmony.

I pre-cook Bacon prior to all my hikes, day & overnights; I keep it in a ziplok baggie in a waist belt pouch to snack on or to add to a freeze dried meal. Seeing all those ponds of water is something that is becoming harder & harder to find here in Northern Nevada. Never take for granted all the water that is so readily accessible to you. I have no doubt that kid made your day just as much as you made his day. I, too, liked the Terra Nova Tunnel shaped tent; I have no doubt it will provide reliable shelter during a wind or rain storm. I, too, have the same fuel canister stand that virtually eliminates stove/meal tip-overs with my Soto Windmaster/4 Plex & small 4oz fuel canister. Thank you for taking your effort, time, & equipment to share your real-life outdoor adventures with me. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

@@BUSHMANandBLUE well, if you are aiming to please, I have questions ... 🤷♀️😆 I'm wondering if you can point me in the right direction for an idiots guide on wild camping and how to prepare for bad weather when you are a 50 something woman who isn't very physically strong to lift heavy gear but with a lot of stamina. I so need to get out of civilisation for a while and away from distractions, preferably with no artificial energy. If you don't have the time, that's fine. I'll still enjoy your videos.

What a wonderful video. If it doesn't make people want to get out under the sky and do things, I don't know what would. I saw two people with smiles on their faces--and a dog who looked happy, too. I would love to see a collaboration with you and Patrick Dickinson, he lives in your area, wild camps, explores under ground and has a youtube channel. He also built a pub in his garden shed!

The thing about hiking in England seems like there are no trees well below alpine zone. That kid is going to be an outdoorsman. Starting young.

what a place it is; Wasn't that nice for the lad - good to have great role models. Do you get a green polka dot jersey for being king of mountains on foot? What's it like swimming those tarns? I've never tried because i wasn't sure if you're allowed. you're both Rabbed up. Helms Deep, Long Ln, Preston PR3 1RN - Legacy woodland.

I just love that I enjoyed meeting him as much as he did. Mutual inspiration 👍. Some tarns are great for a dip. Others might have some birds nesting so I’d stay clear.
