I ice fish here in southeast Alaska and you might want to try salad shrimp. The little pinkies. Do not get the canned ones, get the ones from the seafood department of a grocery store. The odor drives them nuts!
@tankleo48972 жыл бұрын
Great ice fishing but trout usually bites from 3 to 5 feet from the top of the ice. leave some drag that way you won't have to stick your pole deep into the hole LOL.

What are some good lakes for ice fishing in Washington? I'm in western WA, and none freeze here.
@willong1000 Жыл бұрын
WDFW has some info on their website about the topic. Generally, the NE portion of the state and west into Okanogan County: but good cold years can also freeze a lot of lakes down in the Columbia Basin especially around the Potholes Reservoir. First time that a buddy and I tried ice fishing was in 1985 on the Lind Coulee arm of Potholes itself. It was -25 degrees F that year! Most years do not get that cold in that region!

Is this in Washington?
@willong1000 Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's up in the northeastern portion of the state.

Try fishing higher up for trout. 5 to 15 feet of depth.
@Unspoke2 жыл бұрын
Yeah bro. Like I said before in your other video, you’re too hesitant on setting the hook. Once you feel that heavy pressure, it means the fish has got your lure in its mouth. Don’t hesitate bro! Be more confident because you can do it!!!
