Good video. I don’t let the teeth drag on the bark when I make my moves. Angle stand down and move up with cable barely rubbing bark. Much quieter.

Good demo , I prefer to pull the bag up with the rope. I also have a short piece of rope with a carabiner attached to my rifle in case it goes overboard. 👍

Thats almost my exact setup, I unsnap my bag shoulder straps and hook over shooting rail, pulls it up a little higher and keeps it centered, slightly less interference with platform lift, it still gets in the way a little though. I'm planning to add some more convenient buckles to just snap it onto rail where it'll be most optimal

Great video, can you show or explain how you attach the backpack to the climber when you're walking in or out of the woods?
@mountainbuck
@mountainbuck 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Tony, thanks for checking out my channel! Hook me up and hit subscribe if you could! I usually just wear the backpack on my back and then add the climber on top of it. It's a bit bulky, but having those summit bungee backpack straps help make up for the extra room that's needed.

I attach my backpack to the back of the Viper. I find it easier with the climber strapped to my shoulders and it doen't feel as bulky.

Hey Eddy, thanks for checking out my channel. I show the process in this video. You just need to use the 1” utility strap and interweave it through the seated platform and around the tree. Skip through and you should be able to see it kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKLNiGucrtxmfZY

I just wear my back pack normal and sling my gun on front of me when climbing so nuthing to pull up unless I’m bow hunting then I’ll use a rope for bow but sometimes I’ll even lay my bow across the stand while I’m climbing . Also that is the noisiest climb I’ve ever heard , you need to practice on fully disengaging the climber up n out before moving each section! Good luck 👍🏻

As a newer hunter I gotta ask. Say I'm going in for a late afternoon hunt. Will the sound of scaling the tree not spook all the deer around you? Your videos on this stand have me convinced to try it, but i'm worried about spooking everything within earshot.
@mountainbuck
@mountainbuck 23 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! I didn’t climb too quiet in any of the videos and you can definitely go slower and quieter. That being said, you can absolutely have deer coming in during the late afternoon after you’ve climbed a tree. There’s a decent bit of time before sundown where I find that deer are more likely to be on the move. If you’ve been sitting up there for a good bit and you aren’t making a bunch of noise, moving around and have good scent control, you should be good to go! Best of luck this season 🦌👍🏻
