"Reasons Why Your (muscle group) Won't Grow" is the series which got me hooked on all of John's content. Then there's Meadows Rows which I've been doing for many years before I knew who John was. Such a legend in the bodybuilding world who will truly be missed, but ultimately will live on in spirit.

I dare say that nothing got me progressing more in the gym than John’s videos. I found him just a couple months before his passing, and his passing still devastated me. Thank you John, for everything you’ve done for the people. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Not many people at my gym train to failure, besides the few people that are absolutely jacked lol. A lot of people look at me weird when I’m struggling with my last rep, or pushing out 10 half reps at the end of my sets. But it’s pretty impressive how much muscle I’ve put on using these techniques as a natural, and I’ve worked out a few different times in my life, sports in high school, weightlifting in my early 20’s. But with using a lot of bodybuilding and Meadows’s techniques I’ve been able to actually see really great muscle gain at 27. Rip John 🙏🏼 Gone but never forgotten.

I used to train full body or upper/lower all the time. Then I realized my arms were lagging so I changed it up to chest/back, shoulders/arms and a leg day. Using a lot of direct arm work 💪🏽💪🏽

I do the exact same routine and people call me weird. "One muscle group a day" or "why are you doing big muscle groups like chest and back on the same day"
@jessevandijk7524
@jessevandijk7524 2 жыл бұрын
@@tombstonereloaded haha happens to me quite a lot too! Especially chest and back gets people frowning.... I think upper lower is great starting out and then change to a routine to specialize a bit more on weaker muscle groups. I love the focus I have on my arms with the shoulders and arms day, I think arm volume is the only real weakness in an upper lower split.
@tombstonereloaded
@tombstonereloaded 2 жыл бұрын
@@jessevandijk7524 i agree, i also see people do upper lower splits and theyre there for over an hour, but theyre on their phone forever and then act like they got a workout before they go to the next exercise

My God I miss John and the easy and informative way he had to explain all aspects of training body parts. I’ve followed John for a good number of years and my gains were all down to him and thankfully Cris Edmonds has taken up John’s baton so John’s legacy will carry on. My Love and very best wishes from Cheshire UK to Mary and the boys. Jim Harrison.

I remember once hearing a guy say: "Show me a guy who says your arms only need the compound exercises and I'll show you a guy with crappy arms." Until hearing that, that was me. Add to that--and as the 'dog said--biceps REALLY demand strict form. Get the blood in there, fellas--and keep it there long as you can.
