He was able to get plenty of views when he was alive and his channel grew A LOT in the last couple of years. He was about to collaborate with a KZbinr that has over 12 million subscribers, just collaborated with Jay Cutler, and probably would have gotten together with other big names to increase his audience. Rarely do I get upset when someone I don't know very well dies but im absolutely crushed at his passing. He was a very good man. I talked with jim a few times by email and he is as straightforward in person as on his videos.

I started watching John's videos because he was the first person I found that wasn't an egotistical a-hole. He didn't feel the need to curse, yell or make fools of people to get his point across. It was straight up quality information and teaching. John will be terribly missed.

I watch so many fitness youtubers weekly and try to utilize as many tips and tricks as I can but John's tips always stuck with me the most.
