Dude you guys are killing it this year! 😎 congrats Doug on the nugget. That thing is a beaut!

Thanks, a team effort, Matt dug up about a bazillion bullets from this area in the old shooting range before I could even try to use the giant coil to detect deep targets.
@kord53011 ай бұрын
@@DigDougDig it takes team work to make the dream work!!! 😎

@@kord530 Yes, or you have to dig up a bazillion bullets all alone. 😕

How do you go about finding hydraulic pits to prospect?
@MountaineerMatt11 ай бұрын
Hours upon hours of reading historic records and maps. I spend a very large portion of the winter planning for places to prospect in the summer. Good luck!

@@MountaineerMatt My wife and I will be up there for North Yuba Nugget Hunt, we are super excited since this will be our first time joining everyone and we hope to learn a lot from the more experienced prospectors! We have been prospecting for a couple years now and my wife recently started a KZbin channel as well. @AdventuresWithGoldieLocks Maybe we will see you at the Nugget Hunt!

Hey, you plum forgot to give me the coordinates ! 😁⛏⛏🍺 Nice pieces you guys !
@DigDougDig11 ай бұрын
Exactly! Every time I watch you on KZbin, I'm like um, forgot to call me? Love your videos, I binge watch you dig whenever there is 6 feet of snow outside. If you do visit the El Dorado county area, you have an open invite to join us. Summer is when we go camping on the river, and always find gold.

Beautiful crystallized specimen. I'd trade the 10.2g placer nugget I found this year for that one!!

Always wondered what those vallon military detectors would do in these situations i know there pulse induction and they can find some small stuff like wires

It’s a hydraulic pit though… not the same rules as something you find in the river

We definitely notice, search, power dig, clear off the vein, and Tiff gets a signal. In solid, hard rock. We need a hammer drill. Leave, return and.... Yes.... It was au mazing! Videos should be uploaded in a few days.

You need the coiltek 11in will doe better then a 2200... I have pulled big nuggets deep after chagig to the coiltek. I'm not a dealer just another detector nut
@MountaineerMatt2 ай бұрын
Yeah coiltek makes great coils for the 2300. I'm hoping some aftermarket coils will come out for the axiom some day but I don't have high hopes
@Nonya-x1w2 ай бұрын
@MountaineerMatt I found a lot more nuggets with the 11" on same patch alot. I got a z7000 for the patch as well it did pretty good but the 2300 with 11" cleaned it up pretty good....

do you like the vlf. (gm1009). or the pi. ,i have the camo ball cap. but dont have your luck. 😢. have a good day. 🤣
@DigDougDig11 ай бұрын
I own both vlf Nox 800 and PI, mostly use PI, the Nox, in perfect soil conditions can find tiny dinks, the 2300 goes underwater, the 2200 finds big deep targets.
