You can set the Ninja V to be recording while yoy are triggering the REC button on the Nucleus Nano (or RS4) Just set up the correct settings under the FX3s Timecode menus and external monitor. The Ninja V also need to have the "Trigger from HDMI source" enabled under the input menu.

@@Voltzmann1 I actually did try this and I couldn’t get all of the systems to play together and actually trigger. But it’s possible I had a setting wrong. I’ve triggered recording on the ninja with the FX3 record button many times, but making it all start from the Nucleus Nano, I couldn’t get it to happen. Show me your ways haha

I have tried balancing a front heavy setup with the RS 4 and vertically it is just not possible. Also, the rod being on top in your setup might help with lenses overall. Great video!

Oh really? What lenses were you trying to use? I haven’t tried my 70-200m lens yet, but I think even that will work. I’ve seen a lot of guys add counterweights. Yeah, having the rod on top is a clean way to do it for sure.

@chadwin I have tried the XT3 with a Fringer adapter and the 70-200mm G2 with counterweights and I failed. Maybe it is also due to the front heavy aspect of the setup. Also, trying with the battery grip initiated new problems. The clearance issue of the RS 4 did the gimbal wrong as the motors are quite capable overall. I would love to know if you can successfully balance your 70-200mm. I am pretty sure it can be done with a heavier camera.

@ of that makes more sense now, your camera is pretty lightweight. I’ll let you know if I end up balancing my 70-200mm.
