Why data studio and not datalab?

Datalab is for data exploration while data studio is for visualization. The requirement here was to visualize data. Data studio is about clicking and Datalab is about Python code.

Good question! If you look closely into the business requirements, you'll notice that the business needs the cost to be low. Using Memorystore will cost more as it is a cache. Also, to serve a global realtime database, Spanner is the best option as Cloud SQL is only regional. I hope this helps! And yes, game servers are used for the application to be run.
