1:25 The thing he's hitting looks like a (maybe modified) Coron drum synth. Those are little analog percussion synths from the 70s/80s, that were intended as addition to a regular drum set. They're triggered via a piezo (=just hit them) and can make cool spacey sounds: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXSklqGibJmYY9U There are several of versions of those, the DS-7 Drum Synce seems to be popular, then there's also a DS-3, this one looks more like the DS-8 from above video tho, don't know how they differ, but probably not that much at all. happens everywhere, unfortunately. it happened to mtv in the US. eventually it stopped running music videos altogether and became mostly 'reality' shows and cell phone ads. the music/tv industries are in survival-mode at this point...only thinking about short-term profit, at the expense of maintaining good product that doesn't sell as well. so shows that offer good music like this get dumped. it is a real shame.

i miss viva zwei sooooo much. after that, german music tv turned really bad. just ringtone ad's and the same stupid wannabe-ghetto-stuff. the producers said, viva zwei was to expensive to produce and not rentable. shame over tv producers who were just thinking about money!!!!!!
