Excellent job Dave mate. Really loved this one, especially that opening shot. That was the perfect way to set the scenes to follow.

Lovely audio - I listen to your videos whilst I'm studying. The crunching footfalls, sound of birdsong and splash of river water really helps me relax and focus. Thanks for all your content - I couldn't concentrate without it!

how would you make the same videos if the camera is 2x heavy, i have a dslr and i want to make similar videos like you. what do you suggest?
@DavesWalks3 жыл бұрын
I started with a dslr, and it was a right hassle. I tried make-shift slings, and supports but it didn't really help and introduces shaking and limited movement. I thought I would build arm strength and just get used to it, but it just got harder too keep up, began giving me back problems due to the weight. I sold it all in favour of something lighter, and whilst it meant sacrificing the extremely high quality of a £2000 setup gave, the pocket2 considering its tiny size does still delivers very good quality and its just soo easy to use and manage, best of luck! 😊

@@DavesWalks So, you dont do photography and all. I thought dslr had a liberty to change lenses back & forth and that really can give edge over any hand held camera to shoot wide range of videos. I have seen what you are using, how is it for vlogging?
@roh99343 жыл бұрын
@@DavesWalks and do you shoot driving videos with pocket 2 too?
@DavesWalks3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, pretty much had no internet for my week in the Lake District. No I have never got into photography, A dslr does give you the advantage of changing lenses, which can be useful for zooming and still getting sharp images. I've certainly never felt limited by the handheld camera I think it delivers very faithfully what the eye sees. I tried filming drives with the pocket2 but it was just not successful, the stabilisation could not eliminate the all the micro vibrations of driving. The footage was always tremoring and was unusable for KZbin.

@@DavesWalks Im very lucky my Uncle traced for me all the way to the 1200s.. most of my early ancestors came from England. And in the year 1600s they moved to the US where I live now. Someday I would love to explore England and see all the places my ancestors walked.
