It’s implied that’s what he was discussing with anya, and anya seemingly agreed saying the pod should go to him. Swansea wanted Daisuke to live because he had so much ahead of him

I haven’t finished the video yet and I’m making this comment because you called Anya useless, but remember, you’re seeing anya through JIMMY’S perspective. He sees her as weak, timid, and fragile. Whereas when you’re playing as Curly, anya seems confident, sweet, and sensible. Jimmy doesn’t see Anya as a person, he objectifies Anya because she’s a woman which is why she seems useless, when you’re playing as Jimmy. Curly respects Anya and as the captain, knows that Anya isn’t useless and she actually has an incredibly important position on the ship. Anya even says “He treats me like I do this for fun” when talking to curly during his psych eval, jimmy doesn’t respect Anya and doesn’t see her as fit for the job because she’s a woman. Her not wanting to give Curly the medication and asking Jimmy to do it also alludes to how Jimmy SA’d her. Anya can’t stand the thought of forcing painkillers down Curly’s throat when he never consented to it, so she physically cannot deal with giving them to him. Another thing is how Jimmy would give Curly the painkillers, you can hear that he’s shoving them in Curly’s mouth, forcefeeding him something he never said he wanted, and then beats him (which is also why anya asks to exit the room because she can’t stand the noises) Anya ends up dying when she takes her own life by overdose but she initially tried to use the gun. knowing that Curly wouldn’t let her hurt herself, she hid it so that Jimmy won’t be able to hurt anyone. She was scared of jimmy, which is why she often appears anxious and pleasing to Jimmy when you’re playing as him. Every character has some kind of symbolic section of the game where Jimmy has guilt for their deaths, every character BUT Anya. Even the unborn child gets a guilt section, but not anya. He never admitted proper fault to anya, he didn’t take responsibility nor did he ever show any sign of care for her, even upon seeing her dead body. he genuinely thought he took full responsibility yet still ignored Anya’s situation till the very end so sorry if this is too long, I’ll adjust it if I need to since I haven’t finished the video but I hope this comment gives you a better understanding if you haven’t gotten it yourself by the end of the game
