Something seems off about this. I know the "Ben Hogan Golf" brand has been bought/sold numerous times recently, but this isn't the same branding as the current company. I highly doubt these have anything to do with Ben Hogan Golf. But if it works, it works!

I golfed since I was really young. I played regularly into my 20's, then life got in the way had kids new career etc... Now I'm 50. 2 months ago my daughter picked up a set of clubs, so I went and played 9 with her (rented clubs that day) . I looked for about a week and pulled the trigger on a set of these with the stiffer shafts. (I've always had a heavy shot.) I've hit well over 400 balls with the driver alone and besides normal wear seems really solid. Irons you are spot on with your assessment, coming from a set of Ping eye 2's these Hogans are very forgiving.

I have these clubs I bought them off Amazon and have been very happy with them so far. I just started golfing this summer and bought a set of Top Flite's first and they were junk and bought these after and have been impressed with the quality that you get for the cost. I do agree 100% that there should have been a head cover for the putter

Compared to the edge set, you get an extra 4 Hybrid club. Not a bad deal, but Callaway is Callaway. I'm actually getting the Edge set for Christmas, from the Wifey 😂

For a starter set / high handicap player I would drop the 4 & 5 wood and replace with a 7 & 9 wood and drop the 6 & 8 and give me a head cover for that naked putter. Not bad looking for that price.

My daughter bought a set of the Moda Silk lady's clubs and crushed the driver already, we replaced it with their E522 seems to be better. So if those clubs are similar materials and manufacturers chances are the heads are going to dent very easily.

In the end, it was surprisingly easy. All I had to do was invest my time. Once you understand what makes a good beginner club, it's fairly straightforward.

I used to play some old hogan blades I picked up from a pawn back in 2013 and was looking for a good set to replace them with but I have not found anything that really compared to the play or feel. im currently in between a set of titleist DCI 981's and the current set im playing is some Walter Hagen's, so as soon as I saw this video I had to watch it and I didn't even finish it before I picked these up. Im super excited to get this set in and see how they compare. Idont know what im more excited for the fact BenHogan is putting out new clubs? or that im gonna have a full matching set of clubs again after playing a mixed bag for the last 10 years. Great video and a very good round considering that it’s a set not in your specs.. I like the fang tooth putter as well.. that price is definitely not going to break the bank. I love you walk the course.. good way to get some exercise and can get some fatigue factor which can help review clubs.

How does it compare to the other new hogan golf set? The TX682? I prefer the look of the bag and the putter in that cheaper one but worry that I’ll outgrow it quicker, however this one may last me longer and be better value in the long run?

The 817 has both hybrids and a different putter. Depending on how much power your swing produces I would wait for the 817's with the choice of graphite and stiffness. At $499 is still a good price

Need a little help with some terminology in this review. He mentioned a few times about pressed loft clubs. What exactly does he mean by that? Clubs that are high lofted as compared to normal? Just never heard that term before.

Stronger lofted clubs have a lower degree of loft and generally go further but have trouble staying on the greens because they don’t stop as quickly. Hope that helps.
