This video is an interview with @Moretodela ,More to dela Moved from the Uk to Ghana 10 years ago with her family, after thier relocation to Ghana things began to go south between thier relationships , in this video she explains what exactly went wrong , we delve deep into her story...
In this powerful and emotional episode, we dive into the true story of a More to Dela journey from the UK to Ghana, navigating life, love, and the challenges that come with it. Our guest, formerly known as "Natural Ghana Girl," candidly shares her deeply personal experiences, from financial struggles and homelessness to the heartbreak of a failed marriage. She opens up about a time when she was heavily pregnant, out of money, and forced to ask for help in a humiliating situation. The discussion touches on the difficulties of adjusting to life in Ghana, the impact of cultural differences, and the toll that financial strain and poor communication can take on a marriage.
This episode highlights the unique struggles of the African diaspora, particularly in how marriages can be tested by the pressures of relocation. The guest reveals how her marriage, which began with hope and commitment, unraveled due to financial stress, leading to a painful divorce. She also reflects on her past, from growing up in the UK to facing unexpected hostility and loneliness when she moved out at 18, all of which shaped her views on relationships and life.
This raw and heartfelt conversation not only explores the challenges of migration and marriage but also provides insight into the personal growth that comes from overcoming adversity. Whether you're interested in diaspora stories, relationship dynamics, or personal resilience, this episode offers a thought-provoking and emotional journey that many can relate to.
Topics Discussed
Struggles of relocating from the UK to Ghana
The impact of financial stress on marriage
Cultural differences between Ghana and the UK
Overcoming loneliness and hostility in a new environment
Personal growth through adversity

She's helping others by BOLDLY sharing her story. No woman will leave a man after 19 years and 4 children UNLESS she's pushed to do so. It's her story and she's here to share so others can learn from it.

Base on the importance of the story She was the one who was driven and become overwhelmed, Her husband was too much of a follower.yet some people donot allowed the woman with the ideas or strength to lead The husband appeared to be supportive, but that wasnot enough for her. Her husband just sat home is the impression but then she mentioned his dream of construction obviously thaf wasnot enough. Complex story of people having too different visions of the future or family.

Wrong her husband was not supportive. Dela mentioned, there were people wanting help with construction works. Her husband did not want to work.He had plenty of opportunity to support his family. But he chose not too.And to leave it all down to his wife. How can that be right. He had responsibilities. @mavisburke495.

@@mavisburke495 This is exactly what happens when men refuse to fulfil their God given duties and responsibilities as the head of the household. The husband was all talk, he wasn't willing to put in the work and do the heavy lifting to make his dream come true. His now ex-wife had to step in and take on the role of the head, a role that was not meant for her and she found herself overwhelmed and out of her depth.

@@evertonporter7887 My view is different, her husband said he was tired of working for years which meant he once financially headed his family. Possibly later he thought his wife was suited best for You Tube and it brought an income. She taught he was missing the opportunity to be a consultant or help in the construction for viewers ,who were his wife fans who constantly were asking questions because he was previously in construction. Eventually it appeared her husband wanted to focus on his own business in construction which wasnot fast or possibly profitable enough for her. At least, the husband didnot join You tube and competited with her for viewers. My point they had different goals, possible ideas of how to achieve financial mobility, not everyone have the same skill sets.Remember Dela said she never wanted to be a regular worker , maybe her husband was different.

Bullshit... Typical western and westernized woman who thinks although they can pop out 4 kids for the man and also expect the perfect life, husband, riches although 4 kids and herself and think they can go relive youth and find a "better" man . Which one of you men want to step up and mind her and 4 kids and deal with the mentality and attitude? Any takers

The harsh judgement and insensitive comments (mostly from men) are a real eye opener! Dela, inasmuch as I understand you're giving these interviews to help other women in similar situations - and that's a very honourable thing to do - I think you need to rethink this. Now people are talking like you owe them an explanation for the decisions you made for your life and your kids' life, or you have to convince them of your innocence or Kwame's guilt. You don't owe anyone Jack. The life you have is yours and you don't have to explain your decisions or get validation for your decisions from anyone... especially not some strangers on the internet. You wore the shoe, and only you knew where and how it pinched. I said a prayer for while watching this cos I sincerely wish you success on this journey and I know how mean and outright evil some Ghanaians can be when a woman tries to assert herself and not accept whatever toxicity our patriarchal culture throws at her. Godspeed!

I hear women complain about how unfair the patriarchal system is, but I observe how disrespectful and inconsiderate women are towards their children and husbands in the West. The West is a perfect example of why women should not be given rights earned by men. What has resulted in the West due to poor decisions by women is most families broken up. Women generally are all about their feelings not the millions of babies they murder each year nor their families in the West. I have state facts not my opinions just research these facts

So much for the traditional male/female role in a marriage. A lot of the male subscribers were criticizing Dela for getting a divorce when she was living both roles in the marriage and taking care of a full grown "man". Shameful He wasn't a good role model for his sons. Dela wants her sons to be responsible men in life. Hopefully her male friends, her brothers and other male relatives can assist. I am sure their grandfather instilled some of those traits in them before passing.

I told his brother he said o but he gave you profession.

I could definitely relate with Dela regarding the dynamic relationship between mother and daughter. I'm still dealing with years of trauma by overcoming and letting go since I uprooted my life 8 months ago to get far away from the toxicity. My mom is just suppress, oppress and depress from her own past that she simply doesn't want to let go. If I stayed around in that space, she would have broke me down to cry insanity. My mom is carrying a heavy laden and I believe it haunts her every day. She was born and raised into a Haitian culture that she's seen too much of the dark side. IYKTYK.

My mother and other family members will try to tell me I should be miserable because I don't have a husband with kids at 41 then I hear stories like this. For real, I don't need anyone to tell me I'm not happy when I am so content with my single life. It's better than be single and content than married and miserable. For you all that find happiiness in marriage and kids, good for you. I'm going to do me though. If a person cannot add to my life positively, I don't want it at all.

Most African women do not agree to move back to Africa with their husbands after tasting life abroad for several years. They don’t care abandoning their husbands at the stage that their husbands need them most in their advanced age. There are many men living in Africa alone now after sending their wives abroad. The woman will simply not come back with you.

We have to go back to the African traditional ways where a woman before getting married needs approval of the family before getting married. The poor relationship with her father and the missing link needs to be explored.
