Ken, Roger here from Connecticut. It was me that sent the email about the 37 slant. I normally use a Merkur 34c and g and a ej89. Been looking at the 37 slant but scared as I've only been de shaving for about five months now. Finally figured out red Personna blades work very well for me and will be my number one go to for now. Thanks for using the 37 slant today

Roger Madore Hi there. You don't know me....I saw your comment and Yep, double yep and triple yep! You are right to be scared of using that slant! The gap is HUGE and blade exposure is MURDEROUS! I have one and love it however I first had to develop my technique (shaving de style for three years now). Absolutely no pressure. ...I just had to let the razor glide very carefully and take it SLOW. I wouldn't give up on it because it can be very rewarding when you do get use to it. Good evening Ken. Are you making preparations for Guy Fawkes night? Sorry about the Dodgers. You always make some interesting shaving hardware and software choices. I don't own any slant razors, but perhaps I should try one. I would like to try all these different soaps, however, my supply is enough for the next 20 plus years. It should be. Try a few different brand blades to find which one works best💈👍

@@kensurfs Thanks. I use the Wilkinson Sword Classic(black version of the razor) with Gillette Blue blades and get irritation on the neck when I go against the grain. I also used BIC Astor blades and got irritation on the neck even when I shaved after more then a month(in that month I trimmed with a beard trimmer). Usually when I shave more then a 3 day beard I get no irritation.

I have the spearmint shave cream of that make , and what I have done is , I have taken all the cream out and bedded into my shave bowl , so it's like a hard soap type.

Great shave Ken. I use to have the old 37C slant and it was nice until it took a crap on me about 2 years ago now. You should really try Phoenix Artisan Accoutrement's Pumpkin 3.14 shave soap and their Autumn Factory aftershave splash. The burn is epic and will make your eyes water.

. I'm a Merkur Man. I have way to many Merkur razors and one of them, of course, is the 37C. It's a great shaver. If you don't have one you should seriously consider picking one up. IMHO
