I've played through the Tekken series for about 12 years now and you've opened me up to a completely different perspective of T6, much appreciated!

I love the explanations, instead of teaching how to do things you teach why they are valuable which is much more valuable

Excellent tutorial Aris. And it's very kind that you added a link of BlackPriest's BDC tutorial. I've played him online, and his movement is really good. @ 15:21 : Still calling JiMoonAce "JizzMoonFace". I remember this from one of the Tekken Gosu episodes from ldmaxi.

I just got into Tekken tournaments and competitive play, this video makes both of them so much more fun. I am a 10 times better player from watching your last two videos
@Itsallover5712 жыл бұрын
pretty comprehensive, ive seen alot of tutorials but knowing what movements are good for can be just as important if not more so, as being able to do it. i think i can backdash cancel and i can do like 3 reps of wavedash with amk. its really hard but it takes tenacity. at the start i wasnt able to do either at all.
@Peter_Holder13 жыл бұрын
Very interesting stuff, there's always more than meets the eye and it's good to have some knowledge on what player mentality may be when performing such movement sequences.

@devilstar01 Trust me man, if you like Mishimas, don't give up. They are tough to use but WD is not something to quit over. You will eventually get it.

i cryed when you told us alisa`s dashing got shorter or slower when i first watched the video . i got prologue now....you are right it is not as quick as in 6. BUT ( the way i see it ) some of her LOW attacks are a little quicker finally so YES YES YES to all Alisa players
@aliets8 ай бұрын
god i hate alisa players
@Solider713 жыл бұрын
I glad to know that the dashing in this game is really difficult to understand and master and that it's not just me. Still, I know that I must make an effort to do so.
@asianboomer12 жыл бұрын
I think I've practiced for more then 200+ hours doing wave dashes on stick, now I'm able to do light dash without modding my MadCatz TEFS. Takes a lot of time to learn but trust me, it's worth it once you get it down.
@09mazuri12 жыл бұрын
I can't really use the movements fast enough, but i don't necessarily have to, so i use wit. instead of provoking a mistake from the oppenent i perceive their inputs for a split-second response. ex: if someone is pressuring me and does a low hit, i will know because i was stand guarding for while and will throw bound them. On the otherhand, you can also counter high hits with Jin's high-hit-parry, King's/Wang's countergrab, or block a known weak attack and side-step hit or complicated grab.

@kisamakara you dont NEED one to do an electric. You just might need one to do an electric with that notation (no neutral) - kazuya only

@Juventus200708 Not trying to start anything but in the SF4 series you can do DPs by several different methods. df,df or f,df,d,df neutral or not doesnt really matter, there's so many different inputs you can use for a DP, thus input priority. Also Kaz can't do an ewgf without a neutral, he can do it with one less input than other mishimas, but it's not the neutral it's the down input you can neglect. That's also how you do CH df2, ewgf you gotta use the f,n,df+2 method.
@kisamakara13 жыл бұрын
@RipNLa yeah i get that bro, i been electricing for years still can never be perfect. great job on vids/series you guys will do wonders on expanding the community.

@AvoidingthePuddle aris beleive me, i practiced wave dash 3 days in arcade ttt and now i can easily do it
@GaspoweR12 жыл бұрын
@Zeronum2 everyone can do a korean backdash but its harder with characters with sway since you need to NOT do the down input and MUST do the downback input only prior to the back motion.
@Bananas100012 жыл бұрын
Yeah I did some research and heard about the so=called SOCD problem with hitboxes, but it seems Tekken is not affected by that.
@RipNLa13 жыл бұрын
@WuMing85 yes, those 2 everyone knows about. Everyone does NOT know that with Kazuya you can do it without the neutral if you do f,d,df+2 - its just ridiculous to do so without a programmable stick
@WuMingTV13 жыл бұрын
@RipNLa actually it's f,n,d/f:2 OR f,n,d,d/f:2
@OnegaiJames13 жыл бұрын
@Juventus200708 All EWGFs need the neutral. Kazuya's EWGF shortcut is f,n,df+2.

I wonder, who the fuck disliked this video? Probably Rip.
@friendofphi13 жыл бұрын
Probably been mentioned but a lot of SF4 players do DP df,d,df, so they keep a crouching hitbox. df replaces f and shows that n isn't required.

@OGSKrew every* not ever. And just a quick fyi, not saying that it's scrubby or downsizing the top players by any means. It's part of the game and why not use something that's given to you through the system. Just pointing out what every top player does when they need that shit in a tight block string or whenever.
@ncea213 жыл бұрын
@RipNLa I would just like to add that you can do f,d,df+4 for hwoarangs jfsr aswell instead of f,n,df+4. I always do it like that cause i use the mishimas lol.

I'm a street fighter player trying to learn Tekken and I'm not sure what are good wake up options, ex. why people stay on the ground and opt. to get hit etc. If it would be possible to make a tutorial on this I'm sure it would help a lot of players.

@Juventus200708 Even if f,d,df+2 works (which I never heard of), other than with a programmable stick it would be impossible for anyone to do. How can anyone do f,d without a neutral or another input beforehand? If you're going from f,d there's always going to be a neutral or a different input in the way like f,df,d or some shit like that, it's impossible to do without a neutral. As for those shortcuts for 2D games, you can wiggle df,d,df and mash punches all day to make sure a DP comes out.
@dammit7269 жыл бұрын
does it matter on what kind of arcade stick you have? because my arcade stick doesn't have microswitches and also it has a longer throw to perform moves.
@RipNLa13 жыл бұрын
@OGSKrew Kaz can do ewgf with just f,d,df+2 - mainly for programmable stick - viable on hitbox stick - possible but suuuper hard on pad

@Juventus200708 Even pros mash out DPs when they absolutely need to get it to come out, even top japanese players. When they know for sure, they'll wiggle that shit for sure. I wouldn't consider that "not natural and useless." When ever top player in that game will mash it out when they need it to come out.
