Thanks to Low High and revisiting your video I finally found my error. I was going to neutral after inputting BB while the correct thing to do was always right here. Thank you Lord Aris.

Thank you very much Aris. My back dash already looks better on 1P side and am now working on 2P. It helps so much seeing the inputs and your hands. Great tutorials as always.

Having started learning this myself, the best advice I can give is start of very slowly to make sure you get the db action.back, back, down back, back...

lol, I cant believe I never tried to break down the KDC stuff before. I just dashed and press down to stop it, couldn't figure how to keep moving proper Till you mentioned each chr speed is different due to their dash! And I get it now. Cancel dash with a side-step tap, and then quick cancel side-step with dash, its just about timing when to cancel the dash to step/dash to maximize the movement. using quick timing of others made Miguel/marduk just move very short (twitch-like) thx much!

Hey Aris, your tutorials are amazing. Could you make a guide on how to deal with oki? Like ways of getting up off the ground and how they can deal with certain oki methods?
@imaznfoo
@imaznfoo 12 жыл бұрын
That's exactly it. You have to hit 2 on the first frame at which you press df. Any later, then you will get WGF. I'm fairly consistent with EWGF, and the mentality I used while learning EWGF was simply, "Press 2 when I press d." (While doing f * d,df)

I do have a question. If your korean backdashing and they do a mixup combo that dashes at you. How do you go about blocking? for some reason i always get hit while in that very brief moment of vulnerabilty. -____-"

I would like to see a PEWGF tutorial since I do lean towards playing a mishima character on certain teams. and I get like a perfect EWGF like once out of the every 10 or so tries. I've heard it's something like hit 2 sooner than you expect to when going d to df right?

it is easier to backdash cancel with sanwa jlf joystick? i just bought qanba q1 and i find it difficult to backdash with a stock joystick. any suggestions on how to do this easier?
@dorjedriftwood2731
@dorjedriftwood2731 7 жыл бұрын
jesse wright . It might be easier to you because of your personal preference but a stiffer spring will pull your neutrals faster so seimitsu or Korean crown sticks should be better for this. The ps4 qanba stick is nearly identical in feel to Sanwa jlf if you have there PS3 stick then it will be very loose and in that case any stick will function better. Personally I have owned nearly every stick and seimitsu is still my absolute favorite. In any case if your a beginner putting a heavy spring on it is one of the ways you can train yourself out of mashing. I also recommend putting green,white or clear Cherry switches if you can find buttons that take them, or perhaps more controversially buying rayna buttons from China. They have a heavy tactile bump that will give you feedback when the switch is activated this will slow your fingers down and let you know when your inputs are going through both will help you be more precise and keep from mashing.

its even easier on pad because u ont have to use your whole hand and arm to do a simple movement command. However, your thumb is going to hurt after 2-3 games because of the amount of movement inputs if u maintain the dashing.

same with me, i played on an xbox pad but i bought a stick for ps4 trainning my movement grab throwing and shit on ppsspp on pc, and its way smoother than an xbox pad, so unlike for you to be using a ps pad and saying this is uncomfy. I would like for you to try wavedashing on an xbox pad from the right side :D

If you look at the tab he very clearly does b,db,b neutral b,db,b neutral this is the correct way to do the backsway dash cancel. I'm sure he's just used to doing it so he doesn't realize that's what's happening.
