Hey everyone, thank you so much for watching! Please consider subscribing to the channel. I really appreciate you checking out this other videos. I'll be doing these more going forward and continuing the reactions as well. Let me know if you would've given some of the rounds to the opposing film, and what are some other rounds/criteria you would've liked to have seen???

Nice! I have 3 of 4 of these on the list. Bordello of Blood is one I didn't have but will have to add it on there, especially with seeing the actors that make up the cast. Thanks!!

Fright Night is way way better imo. I feel like the relationships in lost boys are written superficially, like we are supposed to just get who these characters are, and there’s not a lot of scenes that demonstrate who these characters are in relation. What their dynamics are, etc. like star and Michael automatically have this deep connection based on no interactions. It’s more of an mtv movie than horror movie. Fright Night actually pays homage to horror classics and uses every scene to be nuance and create atmosphere. All that fog, the close quarters of the houses, etc. Fright Night by a mile.

Alright I haven’t watched past :45 seconds yet and I’m gonna hear you out but I’m gonna weigh in at the beginning and say that for me it’s Lost Boys. I saw Fright Night in the theater when it came out. I was 13 and I loved it but The Lost Boys is iconic in every way.

Hope you enjoyed it brother! :) Both great films that offer a lot of great elements, and yeah The Lost Boys had a little more in the tank for me while comparing these different criteria.

I agree with everything you said!!! Both are such great films so fun to watch, The Lost Boys will always be my favorite, Fright Night is definitely a scarier film and Chris Sarandon nailed it!

Thank you Lauren! It was really fun to dissect both films and see how each measured up on specific elements. It's awesome how there's a few things that each film is a good several steps ahead, but there's so many elements where they are so close to one another. Like "Comedy", that would be a close battle too. Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙂

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I didn't really think lost boys was that scary when I first saw it but fright night gave me nightmares back then.

Thanks for the feedback Josh! I appreciate you checking out the different content I'm putting up. Really means a lot to me :) And yeah man, Fright Night has some creepy ass moments. The vampire variations here are so damn good and even Evil Ed gets scarier and more demented looking when we see him in Charlie's house.

Damn thats a hard choice. Lost boys is a bit more fun but fright night has the better story. So fright night for me
@jessebatres689515 күн бұрын
I definitely agree on the story! Fright Night takes it in that department. They're so damn close and if I included other things like "comedy, practical effects, the overall story", then it might have been a different result. I love that both are fun as hell though!

I'd give the soundtrack to Fright Night the edge - Lost Boys has some great songs, though it is a compilation largely. Fright Night was composed by Brad Fiedel and I DO find it memorable - the seduction theme is great, and Good Man in a Bad Time in the nightclub is awesome.
@jessebatres689512 күн бұрын
Fright Night definitely has an excellent soundtrack and I think Good Man in a Bad Time is probably my favorite of the bunch. I do like how listening to the soundtrack makes me feel like I'm in a haunted house.

The Lost Boys will always win in my heart due to my sister!! This was my sisters favorite movie and she had a Major crush on Kiefer Sutherland.. Rest in Paradise sis. I will forever be a crying little sister!! You need to watch the new Fright Night a compare the older with the newer. And no one should get mad at this battle you gave both great reviews.. 🧛🏽🩸❣️

@@Letha-Mae That’s something that’s so beautiful about films that some people don’t realize until they lose a loved one who was a major fan of certain films or franchises. These art forms give us another way to still hold a connection with them. We think about how excited and happy they were throughout the film, song, show, etc. ❤️ I’d like to check out the wave a remakes made in the 2000’s 2010’s and compare them to their predecessor so this will definitely be a good one. And thank you so much for the kind words and support Letha! It’s perfectly fine if people get upset with it, I always love to hear others thoughts and have a discussion 😎

I saw both in the theaters and for me I distinctly remember being way more surprised at how good Fright Night was. It had no big stars (familiar but no biggies). Simple but tense plot - a vampire moves in next door. Grade A Boss Battle villain. And my panties also came off for Fright Night. I even remember shipping him with his “roommate”. I just got this “in this vampire bi?” Vibe. 😅 My gay little teenage ass just wanted to move in with those two Daddies. 😅
@jessebatres689515 күн бұрын
It's funny you mention being surprised by Fright Night, because I felt exactly the same way. I feel like I'd heard more about The Lost Boys, so I definitely had high expectations when I saw it a few months back. However, with Fright Night my expectations weren't as high but damn did it deliver on so many levels! And haha! I love the last bit of your comment 😂 I'm pretty sure you weren't alone with feeling that way. For me, I don't know why but a lot of these older actresses really catch my eye. When I was editing this, I thought to myself "Hey, why is Charlie's mom kind of a baddie though" lol!
