As a Texan, I can partially confirm that yes, some movie theaters offer pickles as a sour and crunchy snack. Although, some people tend to hold onto it and make very loud bites, henceforth disrupting the movie. I do personally recommend trying this at home for a more enjoyable experience.

To clarify, there are female rats in Ratatouille, albeit they’re only background characters that are met visually distinct from the male ones. Remy does have a mother, but I think the only time she’s ever seen is a short film and she’s just absent from the movie itself.
