Return of the Jedi IS a kids' movie, I loved it when I was little lol I appreciate my boy Denis for recognizing that Star Wars has been kind of campy and goofy since the original trilogy, those movies get weirdly enshrined in a lot of peoples' brains as cinematic mastery when they were always flawed.

Dude it was NUTS at the theater the last two weekends, like friggin disney world how packed its been. We got stuck at the restaurant too long and couldnt even get into another show for gladiator that day. Wicked with my family was like Barbie, packed theater, people in costumes, it was awesome. Movies are great babbyyyy

Wicked is not a sequel but it's based on the Wizard of Oz IP. There's no truly original film. No studio nowadays really wants to try something really new or innovative, like Star Wars, Alien, Jurassic Park, etc. were for their big blockbuster movies. It's sad but I think it's not the studios fault only. When they tried introducing new worlds and stories with movies like Mortal Engine, John Carter, Jungle Cruise, Tomorrow Land, etc. These movies failed. It seems like general audiences nowadays, last 10-15 years, want to go see something that is know territory. It might work, taking chances, on lower budget / indie movies having original ideas because it's a different crowd / market. I might be wrong but it seems that way.

It's failing miserably in the gaming industry. Too much preaching, not enough focus on great writing and characters. As long as the story is he's and the characters are interesting, I'm cook no matter what their deal is. Just don't push ideological and political perspectives in media to the detriment of the product.

I work at a theater. It was insane. We got decimated. I had to spend so much time calming outraged moviegoers. We ran out of everything and couldn't keep the building clean. And we definitely had to adjust the audio for Wicked. I had to pump it up for Wicked and turn it down for Moana. I was running nonstop as a manager putting out fires. Unsubcribing for you promoting my demise!
