Can you imagine how confusing and terrifying this must have been for the villagers who weren't in on the whole murder conspiracy? @JoshSweetvale6 жыл бұрын
KdaAnimeFan2 Close. The British government offered to buy people's guns when laws were tightened in the 80's and 90's. A lot of it 'ended up' in Sandford in this film. It's why the overwhelming majority of the guns seen are hunting weapons ...And why the townsfolk are such crap shots. They can't openly practice!
@Zack_Wester4 жыл бұрын
I presumed the guns in the farmers barn was stockpiled during the second world war and or a bit latter for when England gets invaded and then forgotten about. the farmer is not acting that odd about having it to the officer. For him his still complying whit the last order he was given how many years ago to safe guard the guns and ammo in his barn for the British military. note most countries had set up stockpile about everywhere before/during and right after the second world war.
@Kromaatikse4 жыл бұрын
@@JoshSweetvale What, a pair of Walther PPKs and an MP31 SMG count as "hunting weapons" where you come from? This is the UK - farmers typically have a double barrelled break-action shotgun (as the old one with the barn full of sea mine did) and *maybe* a bolt-action repeating rifle (lots of Lee-Enfields on military surplus). Nothing even semi-automatic; you don't need rapid fire to take out a fox or a hawk threatening your livestock, nor to hunt grouse or deer if that's your idea of sport. You take one shot and make it count.
