@Colloquial Soliloquy ok first, camels aren't wooly, not even Slightly(and before you mention the Bactrian camel, the species people associate with the name are the Domestic species, not the wild ones, Wild bactrian camel have much less fur than their domesticated counterparts.) Second, your are aware that farmers shear sheep right? It's a perfect way to keep them from overheating, especially in the Desert heat? Third, It's likely that Mammoths like elephants don't have sweat glands And lastly, why would mammoth have or need sweat gland anyways? The purpose of sweating is to cool the body down when it gets too hot, which would be not only pointless in the snowy environment woolly Mammoths live in but it would also prove detrimental to their survival.

This whole movie could be a nod to the ancient apocalypse theory. That there were a number of advanced civilizations during the Ice Age. Long before we thought advanced civilizations began. So when the ice age ended and the glaciers melted, that submerged much of the Earth’s surface. Which caused most of the evidence of those prehistoric civilizations (like pyramids) to vanish beneath the oceans.
