@Colloquial Soliloquy ok first, camels aren't wooly, not even Slightly(and before you mention the Bactrian camel, the species people associate with the name are the Domestic species, not the wild ones, Wild bactrian camel have much less fur than their domesticated counterparts.) Second, your are aware that farmers shear sheep right? It's a perfect way to keep them from overheating, especially in the Desert heat? Third, It's likely that Mammoths like elephants don't have sweat glands And lastly, why would mammoth have or need sweat gland anyways? The purpose of sweating is to cool the body down when it gets too hot, which would be not only pointless in the snowy environment woolly Mammoths live in but it would also prove detrimental to their survival.

For anyone reading this comment and not having seeing the movie, the king in charge was the last survivor from the island of Atlantis. That’s why you see iron tipped Spears and a pyramid. It was technology that he brought over and why he had a detailed map of the Western Hemisphere.

This whole movie could be a nod to the ancient apocalypse theory. That there were a number of advanced civilizations during the Ice Age. Long before we thought advanced civilizations began. So when the ice age ended and the glaciers melted, that submerged much of the Earth’s surface. Which caused most of the evidence of those prehistoric civilizations (like pyramids) to vanish beneath the oceans.

I imagine that when one mammoth was stabbed, it just got it's memory and it's flashback back, about when the caveman scared the herd to cause stampede, and it's finally scream out " Caveman!!!!!!!!!!!!!", causing it's herd to stampede on the enemy. D'leh's also whistle to make his friend scared them, to make mammoth more scared.

Let's face it "movies" do not equate to watching Natural Geo when it comes to historical or even logical accuracy. Sharknato, Snakes on a Plane, Jaws, Spiderman aren't exactly "accurate", but like this movie, they are entertaining to watch. This isolation introduces new levels of sacrifices i never expected!

I always thought that this movie was a prequel to Stargate. The pyramids were in the process of being built when the ancient Atlantean was killed. The pyramids were lost to the sands of time as the ending scene stated. Then 2000 years later Ra arrived and took over the completion of the pyramids.
