You know, Goethe's book didn't have the happy ending that one would typically expect of a romance. In fact, you might say that the source material for this film had a notably tragic effect upon its audience.

You might not want to love it too much. (Google "Werther effect")

"Why does it say Alison Pill over this Kristen Bell trailer? She must be the director or something " - me, for almost the whole trailer

Um. Not Kristen Bell.

Did the screenwriters and producers simply read and misunderstood the Wikipedia article on Young Werther. Goethe wrote a book that becomes darker and darker as the book progresses all told in Werther’s letters

And why not bring to light something that's been in the dark far too long through the interpretation of two artists coming together to make a film?

Just came back from the cinema, it’s a really funny romantic touching movie❤

Love Allison Pill, glad to see her in a leading role. Too bad it's as a "manic pixie girl."

*maybe SPOILER for some people* but this does not look like he is going to kill himself in the end like he does in the book and what the book became famous for…🧐

Thanks for the spoiler and I mean that in a positive way. I'm not aware of this book but another comment said the book gets progressively darker which like you pointed out, I'm not getting from this trailer. But, your comment made me want to see the movie just to see if this trailer is a trick. Because it honestly looks like a Kristen Bell reject movie.
