Krum was angry to see the symbol, as he associated it with Grindewald and could not fathom why anyone would wear Grindewald's symbol. 18:34 Why do you want us to be emotional? I read the books before the movies came out. Every time a new novel was about to come out, I re-read all the books leading up to it, and I did the same with the movies. I've consumed both so many times that my memory often confuses what happened in which. Thanks for refreshing my memory. The scene with Neville and his family at St. Mungo's was one thing that I did really miss in the movie. It was such great character development for Neville in only a few words that it was a shame to leave it out. In fact, in the books we see Neville's development over the course of seven years, but in the movies he is mostly comic relief in the first two movies, and we don't see much of him except for the big battle sequences in books 5 and 7. At the Battle of Hogwarts, it is almost as if he came out of nowhere because the audience had missed his development.

I don‘t know if it was in the previous but the vanshing cabinet that Draco uses to smuggle the Death Eaters into the castle has a history before Montague was stuck in it. In the Chamber of Secrets a muddy Harry returns from Quidditch training and runs into nearly Nearly Headless Nick and has a conversation with him. This leads to Harry been found by Mrs. Norris and Filch, who then takes Harry to his office to punish him for leaving mud on the floor. Nick feeling guilty persuades Peeves to smash and damage the cabinet in the room above Filchs office to distract him and maybe prevent Harry from getting punished. This damage is the reason Montague is stuck in it and Draco has to repair it.

What I liked was how Madeye was showing Harry's class the unforgivable curses and it was a much more intense and disturbing scene in the books than in the movies. He was using spiders and each one was more terrified and just a really hard scene to get through. Another difference was that Madeye actually inflicted the curse on the students most notably the imperious curse which nearly every student failed to overcome except for Harry who just was barely able to resist it but broke his kneecap when he fell off the table after Madeye commanded him to jump up on the table.
