To answer the guns without oxygen question, yes gunpowder has oxygen molecules in it so they would still be able to fire. Modern guns can fire under water too.

Yes a gun can fire with no oxygen! They have their own oxidizer, fun fact is if you were to fire a gun in space, the smoke from the shot would just become an expanding sphere from the barrel of the gun. I know Cage cared about the money but Sam, as far as i know, has never seemed like the type to care about that. not saying he doesn't like it, but he certainly doesn't flaunt it. it seems like Sam achieved his peak with various roles like in Pulp Fiction, Django, etc and now is just taking roles that interest him, or maybe his age doesn't allow him to do as much and so he can't take a more central role in a higher quality movie. for me, i won't let some shitty movies when he's an old man taint my view of his masterful acting career.
