This is very funny because there is *another* liam neeson movie where he plays a morally dubious hitman who finds out he has memory loss and tries to redeem himself by saving girls from a trafficking ring or something. I was confused for a hot minute during this review because of how similar the two plot threads are lmaooo. anyways, for those curious its called Memory (2022), but i cannot vouch for anything about it because tbh i forgot most everything except for one specific scene i think is very goofy.

Ok this is gonna sound wack out of context.. vague spoiler for end of The Wild Robot I think the ending you described to this film was supposed to be a Wild Robot moment. It sounds like he knew they’d just keep coming after him if he lived, and that would endanger his family, so he tied up the loose ends by saying goodbye and setting her up financially before dying. Not saying it was done well (I haven’t seen it) but based on what you described that’s the conclusion I drew. Wild Robot did it better tho.
