Opinion: Miranda is not the worst boss, and this is not the worst job in the world. Comically unreasonable at times, but not the worst. She should have stuck it out, finished the fashion assignment, and worked there for a year so she could move to something better, which was the original plan. She’s lucky Miranda wrote her that reference letter.
@nephtys369 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. It was just one year. Nate is a chef. How many years did Andy have to put up with him working long hours? Nate was trash.

I love Stanley Tucci he always understands the assignment, one of my fave roles is him in Burlesque (Also him in hunger games as Ceasar has a special place in my heart). One of my fave Anne Hathaway movies has to be Ella Enchanted

Allow me to put the hurricane problem in perspective: We've all seen Mirandas job is her whole life, even over her marriage and children. So whenever she gets a chance to make time for them, of course it would be important for her. THAT'S what Miranda's really upset about. And she DID go easy on her for not pulling it off: she didnt fire her.

My favourite Meryl Streep movie is "She devil". It's a dark comedy of 1989 and Meryl is amazing in it (I know, she's amazing in every movie). I love when she plays mean and narcisistic characters, she's able to make them despicable but funny, like in "Death becomes her", another great movie!
@sheagroza2 жыл бұрын
The faves for me: Meryl: “Mamma Mia” and “The River Wild” 💜 Anne: “Ella Enchanted” hands DOWN!! 👏🏼 Emily: “Into The Woods” 😭 Stanley: “Burlesque”… ohmygod 😜

Never understood why Andrea should feel sorry for Emily, for missing out France. Emily acted barely civil (like a bitch, most of the time) and now she honestly expects Andrea to jeopardize the job Emily's sake? Then they make a big deal of "betrayal" and "you're like me" when it's not even CLOSE to being the same.
@AnnekeOosterink3 жыл бұрын
Emily takes her job seriously and sees the same thing Nigel sees, Andy does not care at all. So of course she doesn't like Andy. Once Andy starts doing better Emily is still snarky but no longer cutting. Also, both Miranda and Andy do the same thing, they prioritize their own job over others, Miranda stabs Nigel in the back to keep her job and Andy takes over Emily's position to keep her job. It is exactly the same kind of thing. The stakes may be a bit smaller for Andy, but the idea remains the same, she was willing to hurt a coworker to keep her job.

interesting thing, the book characters are pretty different. Firstly, Andy is a pretty terrible person. She gets sent out on coffee runs and she decides to order tons of coffee on the company dime and give them away to random people, taking a ton of time each trip. Emily actually works with Andy to some degree, that she actually gets 2 weeks of training before even actually meeting Miranda (the movie seems like all that stuff with the shoes and the belts "pile of stuff" happens on her first day of work). From what I remember, Andy's boyfriend isn't the dick he is in this movie. He's actually a pretty nice guy, but him being a nice good guy starts pissing her off for whatever reason.

When Miranda says Andrea is " fat " she spoke about her size and when she called her " Emily " it's because normally Emily is the second assistant but for the moment it's Andrea. Did you know, Meryl Streep refused the role of Miranda when they asked her for the first time ?
@kcirtapelyk60602 жыл бұрын
I heard Meryl Streep really is like this, so that’s probably why she originally didn’t want the role. It wouldn’t have been much of a challenge because she’d pretty much be playing herself.

It's IN CASE you accidentally cut yourself. Sharp edge cuts clean through. Might bleed, but it'll heal pretty quickly. Blunt edge, the cuts more jagged and wider, therefore takes LONGER to heal on top of the blood.
