This movie was a brilliant way to introduce the topics of prejudice, racism, implicit bias, and abuse of power to children, as well as how quickly and easily innocent lives can be ruined if you're careless. On the flip side, though, it also shows that each and every one of us has the power to grow, to change, to learn from our mistakes, and to move on from our pasts.

it's funny that the whole story wouldn't have happened if Judy had realized is actually kinda normal to be given the simpler less important work when you start at a job. I mean, she was new to the city, meaning she didn't have the knowledge to where go investigating, she had no experience actually working as a police officer, and she wasn't even into the digital sistem yet, wich as we saw in the movie it was an added dificulty in her investigation. Bogo giving her parking duty was kind of a reasonable decision
@StoryMing Жыл бұрын
The story would also have been a lot shorter if they had followed through properly on the truck with the “rotten onions”. And okay, yes, maybe it does make a certain amount of sense not to give a raw new recruit the most important and difficult jobs right off; but somehow I _really_ don’t get the sense that the Chief had any plans of giving her opportunities to work her way up by gaining experience in the field- say, under the supervision and guidance of a more seasoned senior partner, for example. I think Judy had a fair point when she protested being treated as a token bunny; because honestly, if it hadn’t been for her “insubordination”, I don’t believe she would EVER have shed that meter maid vest.

Wouldn't it be more symbolic of interracial relationships and the prejudice that they used to (and sometimes still do--though nowhere near to the same extent) face? Especially considering the different species of animals are widely understood as representatives of different races (not genders)? I'm struggling to see how it would be representative of LGBT beyond a very general _prejudice in relationships because it's considered wrong to be with a certain type of partner_ (and maybe something about the inability to reproduce). Either way, it might not be the best because choice of symbolism considering it can very objectively and vehemently be considered wrong/unnatural for different species of animals to be involved romantically. And I don't imagine that that's the message the LGBT community or anyone pro-interracial relationships would want to communicate.

This is such an amazing movie that I think everyone should see! It puts racial stereotypes into such a nice way that kids and adults can understand and learn from. When I first saw this movie I still liked it; but when I put it next to what’s happening in our country now it really does correlate well and brings another layer to the movie. It talks about the racially biased justice system (where Judy talks about how police are supposed to serve and protect), prejudice against race/ethnicity (mostly towards predators), and racial stereotypes (foxes being made out as “sly”, Judy telling the leopard not to call her cute). It’s subtle too so if you don’t correlate it to irl, you can still pick up on what’s trying to be said. Anyways yeah, great movie :)
