The original Gladiator was not totally historical - it was an Americanised fantasy world of Rome, don’t take it as gospel - the sequel appears to be another fantasy at the least but there are some aspects that already look more accurate and authentic, eg: The flooded arena floor to simulate naval battles Also, ancient history is NOT prehistory - prehistory specifically refers to a time period where we have no written records or evidence of writing - only the Regal Period of Rome fits this criteria

Denzel's character just feels like a new Proximo. If that's the case, they should have just cast Djimon Hounsou. The character arc of him being a slave and gladiator to winning his freedom and now becoming a merchant/trader looking to overthrow the entire system could have been the heart of the story. It would also mirror Proximo's own story.

Cos a metric told those people that Gen Zs love rap and hip hop cos they love edgy music. Now that the attention has been garnered, the second trailer will change to more orchestral, something more suited to the actual feel of the film. And yes we can absolutely complain cos it's absolute cynical garbage and permeates throughout the industry, shitty trailer music is just a symptom of the disease. And if they don't want people to complain, maybe do a better job or not bother to put on the trailer since a trailer is meant to get people feel something.
