Captivating: engages the audience, keeps us engaged. Descriptive, paints a picture, without pity and with truth. Yes, drug references were mild. I would let them go in favor of characters from childhood. Great visuals. refrigerator! Louis describes the ravages of time, especially to women. That is what you are left with. A cautionary tale. I would not take them out entirely. I would the references to enhance the rest of the vignettes. That is a choice. This has moral timber. Thank you!

The "cigarette" he was JOKING about is the old school (1990's) gum cigarettes! They are literally sticks of gum that had been wrapped in paper and had powder on them so kids could pretend to smoke. -- ITS A FRICKING JOKE and just because you didn't get it doesn't make it inappropriate.
