Dry Bar is proof that you can have the funniest content without a single curse word or some weird talk you could do without. Thank you Dry Bar for making comedy funny again.

I really don't mind cursing most of the time unless they're trying to depend on it. That being said if they can't make you laugh without cursing then they're not really capable of being funny

@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 4 жыл бұрын
I agree with Laura. I'd also go so far as to call out these people who are obsessed with people not cursing. I think they'd find their lives so much more enjoyable and easy if they could just get over someone saying bloody or whatever it is. They're only words! I am genuinely curious how curse words negatively effect people?
@clc3897

Chilli-Ice Olive-Abode words have a huge impact on the psyche and on your mind. There is scientific proof of that. Look it up and learn.

@@clc3897 I guess I have more immediate issues like staying alive to contend with. And yes before you say it I know I'm uneducated and ignorant. I'd rather not try and learn to be effected by words, but thanks anyway. Take care. 🙏
@clc3897
@clc3897 4 жыл бұрын
Chilli-Ice Olive-Abode I never said you’re uneducated and ignorant, however we can all learn about things we never considered before. As an immigrant who came to this country knowing not a single word of English, I made sure to learn well and fast. I’ve always been a student of language and I can attest to the fact that language matters, tone matters, words matter. Wether or not you want to believe it, that does not change the facts. But I would like you to take a moment and think back to when you were a kid and someone used words to hurt you. That’s all... Be well and take care.

Wow, KZbin - I just went through the whole comments section here, and did not find ONE negative comment! Either the world is changing for the better, or this is what happens when someone is truly excellent. And he certainly was! I've been loving this channel, but this guy talked about "thoughts & ideas" boozing it up, shooting up houses, and other things *at THE "Dry Bar" in Utah!* Holy cow! Didn't need to be crude, but he lightly tapped on some touchy topics and had them rolling! This was the work of a master wordsmith. Love this so much! You know a great comedian when they are performing at the Dry Bar and acknowledge the crowd is (mostly) Mormon and the comedian understands LDS values - then incorporates that into their sketch. When the crowd can laugh at their own "whiteness" and religion as joked about via the routine... you got a great comedian there!

There are times when a comedian makes a super controversial joke, but because they do it so well, people just gloss over it. He just said, that not only is child abandonment and divorce ok, it is the means in which you could create a hard working kid who might become successful in the future. Clean comedy yes...but brutal. I love it.

One of the first things I learned came from a quote by some Canadian I've forgotten the name of, but I'llnever forget his quote: "If you want to say something difficult, controversial or brutally honest to someone, make them laugh or they'll kill you." One of the unwritten rules of writing comedy.

@@burrengirl3409 that's mostly because there is a stigma towards hiring veterans. Serving your country is seen as a bad thing in our modern society. Police departments are one of the few options they have that will supply them with a livable salary.
