Bull roundup! I went to Idaho for a HS Girlfriend reunion we have every year! It was fun! It rained snowed & the 70's music and great food made it all a joy to be around the people who know most of your secrets & we talked, laughed & cried retelling the old stories once again. We're 15 ladies strong & haven't lost a one... yet.

If they only have one drop, the other is probably still up 8n the abdomen.. With horses, its called cryptorchidism(sp).. usually a vet is needed to get the other one.. or they still act like a bull. Some have even had 2 drop and a 3rd up high..

My foundation mare was like that.. she was only 13'2 hands, 800 pounds pregnant and soaking wet, but none of the other horses gave her any guff. One time our big Appaloosa cross gelding (16'2 and about 1600#) didn't leave a hay pile when she started over to it.. she swung around and gave him double barrel shots about 100 feet across the pasture.. He never hesitated after that when she walked his way.. but then he was the one that had to touch the hot wire THREE times to learn it really does bite! Big lovable dufus.. super horse to ride.. overgrown cushy Cadillac of a ride.. unflappable..

The trick we learned in so.dak. when separating bulls from cows was to herd some cows to the pens, the bulls follow. THEN separate them in the pens. We had a nasty one called Geronimo that was half longhorn and half Hereford. He pinned my mom to a barn lol.. horns stuck in the wood, mom screaming for dad . Was scary at that time but funny now. Dad made him docile with an 8 foot long cattle prod in the nuts until he just screamed and sat down. Mom got free and we ate Geronimo. :-)
