I live in CA, this is the last place anyone should want to move to. Unless you are extremely wealthy and don't mind having your rights taken away to make your own choices, CA is not a good place to live. More people are leaving this state than ever before. I have lived here for 25 years and I'm heading out. CA has one of the toughest covid nonense out here. They have turned it into an ongoing business and a way to keep people living in fear and turning against each other.

There is another thing that makes home buying in CA expensive. It's called a "Mello-Roos" tax. And yes, gas is high out here. It has gone up to $5.00 a gallon where I live.

I’m kind of late but I recommend going to Braum’s. I don’t know if they have Braum’s in California, however they have delicious ice cream, and they have burgers and chicken sandwiches. That and Texas Roadhouse, they have these rolls with cinnamon butter! They have ribs, burgers, steaks and other stuff.

Tulsa remote was a blessing, helping my family of 6 ESCAPE the Pain known as California. $6.99+ gas to $4.29 is amazing. My second week in Tulsa and comparing the heat and humidity to where I lived in California has been much better.

Honestly, Oklahoma weather is pretty unpredictable. In the middle of winter it could be in the 60-70’s or in the negatives. We experience degree changes from in the 20-30’s to in the 60’s-70’s in the matter of a few days. You just kinda roll w/the weather.

Once again, let me make it clear, Californians weather is waaaaay better then Oklahoma! I played college golf for OCU, my stroke average was better at a JC in California. I'm from a farming area, not LA. The reason why Oklahoma is great, is purely the people! One last thing! The dust bowl days where did most folks go? Arkansas, Oklahoma & Texas moved towards the west. Great folks in both states I love my home state of California, but when I take my last breath, it will be in Oklahoma! Boomer Sooner!

Serious question though Stephen; I moved from a small town in Oklahoma to Oklahoma City after getting a great job offer. Even then, it was almost impossible to find a rental that I could afford that wasn't in a bad area. Oklahoma is known for being an affordable place to live. Do you ever forsee that returning to the way it was?
