12:06 girl you haven't seen my video when I complained about my water shut off. It happens a lot in some areas. It happens a lot in some areas. I had some people get mad that I was sharing the issues. Saying I should only be positive about Ghana. HAHA I had to smile sometimes, because of the similarities with the water issue. We actually have barrels in each bathroom...about 5...and one for kitchen. We brought them from Uk with the door to door company, who brought our stuff. We fill them all when the pipes are on, or like now in the raining season, we will let the rain fill them up. The rain is so much that it only takes 30 minutes to fill one barrel up and the water is chrystal clear, straight from the sky lol. Also with the rubbish, we have the local people with the motor cycle, who pick them as many times we want, but mostly once a week. My husband is from Ghana, so he knows what is needed here. We had to build a whole new toilete system here, the biodigester, which is very nature friendly and economic and not smelly at all. We learn as we go. I am looking forward to see your development here and I am also excited for mine. Not to forget, we had the pleasure to live with family at the beginning and they helped us to adjust here and they showed us little difference in the housekeeping etc for our new life here. Yeah not everything is convinient at the beginning, but you learn how to do things here with time. We have only been here for 6 month, so we are also still finding our ways around. Best wishes and blessings with everything you do 🙏

@mimitamimi5462 жыл бұрын
No it’s not free in UK for sure, it’s built into your annual taxes. Think Vanessa meant, it’s just done more reliably there and because it’s not an option maybe it feels like it’s free but it isn’t because even as a renter the owner passes it on to tenant by building it into the rental charges. only when there was a strike many years ago, garbage wasn’t collected by our street

You definitely need to drill a water well when you buy your own house (hopefully with at least a little of land too (not just enough land for the house itself). I don't live in Ghana but I'm in a similar place and there's no water here unless you buy it from a huge truck that passes by every few days. People who live near me (not super close, but I can see them from my place) shower with half a bucket of water and they wash their dishes over and over again in dirty-ish water for a couple days. I try to help them out as often as I can with water from my well. Without my water well (I guess you all call it a "bore hole" over there, same thing though) I'd go insane (I shower 2 or 3 times a day here, it's hot and very humid).
