Wow! That's a *much* nicer apartment than I had on the JET programme. When we moved out, my wife said, "Finally my nightmare is over". Ha ha ha! (I loved it, though...) To be fair, we had skinks crawling around on the ceiling, and my wife once got bitten by a rat while she was sleeping. Also, no hot water... Real Showa era building. Looking forward to hear about the next stage in your adventure! Sometimes I despair that many JET participants don't appreciate the unique opportunity that they have. Watching your videos makes me so happy!

Haha, that sounds like quite a memorable/difficult time! No hot water?? We got very lucky that we were able to choose our apartment with his JET placement - some other people in our area on the program didn't get to choose their housing, so I guess it just depends on luck of the draw (like so much of the program!). Your case sounds pretty intense though, I'm glad you still had a good experience overall 😂Thank you so much for your kind words!

hi annie,does november is a good month for cycling around tokyo & kawaguchi ko? is it too cold for cycling? thanks in advance
@AnniewhereAndEverywhere3 ай бұрын
I think that month is good for cycling still! I don't have much experience cycling in the Tokyo/Kawaguchi areas, but I don't think it will be too cold yet - I found that in Ishikawa the early spring was colder/snowier than late fall. I would just make sure you have warmer clothes/rain gear/gloves to bike in just in case. Have fun!

When someone wants to go to moon, they have to be accustomed to extremely small space. If you are happen to live in Japan, you should do the training for the future.

I'm not really sure what you mean, sorry. We have really enjoyed our years of living here in Japan, and we continue to learn and appreciate new things every day.
