A couple of decades back I helped a friend secure his boat for a hurricane. Of course I'm used to securing loads to prevent movement in flight, so... I loaned him my anchor and one of my friend's anchors. Combined with his two anchors and one from his friend, we created a five-point system with distributed loads leading to a single central weighted tie point for his anchor chain, and he put out enough rode to handle the larger waves. Only one anchor moved, and only a couple of feet. Even so, he said, "You're overdoing it, man!" Alas, the hurricane missed us by couple hundred miles...

Great Video first of all Kristen's hair looks Fav. Time I think it took to get done was 3hours 34 Minutes USA time. I am sure well have a good feeling your boat will be okay. Hopefully not to moldy on your return to her. The van looks awesome and wow it's got a lot packed into her. Great parking into camp sites or where you can plug her in and hook up water and toilet dumping sites. Maybe instead of trying to catch fish you can try trapping rabbit's or possum or squirrel cook that up. You'll definitely get your Van experience there living on the land. Hope you kids have a blast and get to see some of the weird yet cool stuff that's out there. As a retired truck driver I've been in or through almost every state with Alaska and Hawaii being the only two I missed. Not so sure about picking up hitchhikers in today's day and age as things are pretty crazy out there and not nearly as safe as even just five years ago. The hair looks really nice and my bets around 3.5 hours but that would mean Matt had to drop some cash to treat his lady, which I could see him doing when it comes to Kristen. You might think about taking a little detour when you get to West Virginia and jumping on I-70 West towards Pennsylvania to go through the mountains and all the tunnels as they're something worth driving through at least once just have some cash ready for tolls if you go to far west though. My normal ending doesn't seem to fit as well for the next month or so but I'll use it anyway. Fair winds, following seas, safe travels and God Bless...

Word of advice if it were me do not let Bear wonder off outside at your new location as cats get disorientated and lost. I have moved a number of times and lost 2 cats when I let them out. So save any heart ache, keep indoors is my advice, its only for one month. My time would be 4 hours 10 minutes

We did 'van life' for 5 years of the 12 years we lived on the road. Nothing as fancy as yours, but it was the best 12 years of our lives so far. The van mode was the best of the years we lived on the road. Can't wait to get back to it. If you come out to Oregon, let me know.

Culebra looks like a great hurricane hole - except when a cat 5 hits point blank, which Hugo did. We were there a year later and the residents were still traumatized.
