Good you have real estate experience from big cities in Canada because here in Portugal, nobody, no agent seems to be able to publish some interesting vidéos about real estate statistics and so on.... Sad for Portugal and especially a big city such as Lisbon where nothing is ever publicly reported. Very frustrating...

How about prices asking versus sold prices ?
@livinginLisbonPortugal7 күн бұрын
That would be a great idea, Caroline. Unfortunately, such information is not readily available. Without an MLS in Portugal - and most of Europe - property sale prices remain private. A group of us, including myself, are actively working on bringing the MLS system to Portugal, but it will take time to reach the levels of transparency and disclosure seen in North America.

Interesting. I visited Lisbon (and Porto) in May 2024. Now I want to go back to Lisbon and have been looking at places to stay for a week in 2025. I found a serviced apartment on R. do Merca-Tudo (street in front is CC do Marques de Abrantes near Av. Dom Carlos I) and Google mapped the area. It looks like a pretty safe place with lots of restaurants, and it's close, if not in, the area of Misericordia.

@@krisburke1712 Is it true that the brown people have flooded Portugal and now it has become dirty and unlivable ?

I'm in Dubai and looking to move to Lisbon. Are there Arab communities in Lisbon ? Are they accepting of Muslims..??
@livinginLisbonPortugalАй бұрын
hello and thanks for watching, Lisbon is a very cosmopolitan city and very international. You may hear me say on my video how tolerant and accepting the Portuguese people are. So the answer is yes to them being accepting, I'm not sure about arabs but thee is a muslim community in Lisbon.

I am also an Arab looking to retire in Lisbon. When you go, try to look up Arab community centers or mosques. You can get information there.

There is not a big Arab community in Lisbon. Maybe Turkey is better for you.
