Prescott is a great place to visit, but you do NOT want to live there. After 14 years in a great house, we sold and moved away. Prescott is a rundown town. Some call it ambiance. We called it old and unkept. You have look long and hard for a DECENT restaurant to go to. Good retail is almost non-existent, the mall is 75% empty. The town has allowed 20,000 more homes to be built but has done nothing to improve the infrastructure eg, no road work, no added grocery stores, retail or restaurants. The people there are eccentric. We lived in a development of million-dollar homes, but nasty, nosey people surrounded us. Right down the street were beggars and low-income housing. The winters have gotten really cold (highs in the 30's) and lots of snow. Go there for a day or weekend. Have fun. Enjoy the scenery. Just don't move there.
