just asking when one gets a residency permit does that automatically qualify someone for permanent residency....or if not what duration does it take for someone to get a permanent residence and what are the processes involved ......

After you get a residence permit and you live in Sweden for more than 3 years. You can apply for a permanent residence permit. You can visit countries outside but don't be away from Sweden for more than 3 weeks

Nop. You will need to have a residence permit that allows you to start your own business. You can't do it as a student.
