The Barbican estate is kind of an architectural world landmark, and an art piece in itself! It’s one of the most famous brutalist buildings, hence why it’s so expensive to live there :)

I like these sort of travel vlogs. I left the USA in 1991 and never went back. Been living in Scotland for quite a while now. I love seeing other people/young people trying out new experiences in new places. It would be nice to see some more as your stay progresses. You sort of came at a good time too, the weather will be getting progressively better from here on out, so your first 6 months will be spent during spring and summer. There are so many destinations you could try to get to on the continent too! I'm excited for you.

You remind me so much of myself! My husband and I moved to Asia for a few years before coming back to Australia to settle and start our family. I think this experience is one everybody should have, it's great quality time with your partner while you're still young and before other responsibilities take up your time, plus it's very character building to be in a brand new place far away from your family so you can really be independent. I hope it's going well!

Welcome to London!! Definitely lots of cool stuff to do 💗 -Watch a play or musical. Really unique play is Witness for the Prosecution which is in an actual court room. -So many amazing markets! For when you’re plant hunting: Columbia Rd Flower Market. For food theres literally dozens -Hampstead Heath. Personal favorite park in all of London. Amazing views, lots of roaming doggos. Theres also an incredible creperie thats really popular in Hampstead And so so many more!

Best wishes on your move to the UK! I’m from (old😊) South Wales so have visited London loads of times. One of my favourite places is the Sky Garden, it’s free but you need a ticket. Also, the Lion King show at the Lyceum theatre is amazing. In the summer there are tours of Buckingham Palace, which my 10yo daughter and I both enjoyed. I would also 100% recommend exploring outside of London, to see other parts of the UK. You can get to the south coast, the Cotswolds, Lake District, all over Wales & Scotland and so many other great places easily from London by train (and less accessible places by car). How exciting for you! 🎉

Hi Bella! You should take a trip to Brighton on the train! It’s sooo beautiful there, its close to London, easy train ride & big seaside and massive pier and SO many little lanes with shops full of character, trendy thrift shops, great food places & really colourful & artsy everywhere. It’s super popular & better than London imo. You should look up some videos & images! I LOVE Brighton, I live an hour from London & love to visit Brighton around my birthday. ❤️

I would personally recommend looking at locations in zone 2 (2nd level of central-ness). Still very central, but a bit less expensive. East London has loads of culture and community, West London is more like the photos you see on Pinterest and often a bit pricier but really lovely. North London is a bit more suburb-y and South London isn’t great for transport links. Hope this helps and good luck with your move!
