Pack heavy on bottom & top off box with bedding pillows etc. It makes it less heavy but still full so no wasted box space.

Hey Cherry! As a person with a rather large book collection who has moved a few times I always packs my book boxes half books and then half linens (like towels or sheets) so that way you don’t waste the space, but you also don’t make it to heavy! Just thought I’d let you in on my secret. I definitely love the vlog style video!

I was going to suggest the same thing, and this also helps with the stability of the boxes if you have to stack them, because if you leave the top part empty and then stack them the box will collapse if there is too much space at the top.

Obvs you already packed. But a pro trip, from someone that has moved a dozen times... pack a couple of books with lighter things like clothes and scarfs in suit cases with wheels, that way it’s easy to move them around and the books are protected with the clothes. 😉

Girl, I completely understand the moving struggle of a book lover. I think that has ALWAYS been the most things I have whenever I’ve moved, my books. Love the vlogging by the way. Clothes are easiest thing to pack, keep them on the hangers, put a bag over them like a garment bag, and lay them in your car on moving day

I loved the vlog. I don't know if it's because we moved so often when I was a kid, but I love moving and packing, and the much anticipated unpacking. I moved out into my first by-myself apartment for the first time last year. Finding places for everything and putting my own mark throughout the flat was both my favourite part and the one that got me so anxious about too. I had boxes and paper everywhere. So with that in my mind, I both wish you a very exciting move (I'm sure you will love it) and also give my condolences for the headache of find places for everything, all the rubbish and half empty boxes and the amount of cleaning and re leaning you will get up to. So, as for your question: I would adore to see more casual vlogs of you and your move (your new place and even just general casual vlogs about your experience of living away).

Highly recommend leaving your clothes on the hangers for the move, just cover with a trash bag, makes it so much easier. Love the moving vlog, it is always sad to see your stuff in boxes, but you'll have so much fun setting up your new home

You could always put your books in a suitcase that rolls, so that way you don’t have to carry them and can pack it to the brim! I’ve used this while packing and it’s a lifesaver!

I feel your pain. I moved in the last 13 years 14 times and 7 times of that was moving to different countries. When you have everything unpacked at your new house and have decorated it the way you want to then all the pain whilst packing is gone.

My husband and I just moved into our first home, and experienced the same book packing issues. I had to keep buying more boxes, because I could only carry so much weight, and couldn't fill the boxes to the top. So frustrating. Good luck with the rest of the packing! I so understand what your going through. Me, my husband & my 2 youngest children just moved 3months ago. I didn't know how many books we had on the book shelf. Didn't look like 7 of your big boxes full. Thank goodness my husband had friends to help get them into the moving truck & then into the house we are renting. I moved out for the first time last January, and I'm 27 😅 it was exciting but hard. Decorating and organising keeps u excited but once you're done, than there comes a period of adaptation and realization and loads of conflicting emotions. But that period is short. And since it passed I can say that it was the best thing that happened to me and one of the best decisions I ever made! Good luck with the rest of packing and hope things stay intact things as they travel! If you are bringing your makeup dresser with everything still in it you might want to secure the drawers so they can't fall open as you move it. And the less full drawers might have some things roll around so you'll likely have to reorganize.

I know it's a bit late, but, for future reference, I've always packed my books in suitcases when moving. That way I can fill the whole thing and just roll it. Works like a charm and I move every 2-3 years.
